Less ticklish when turned on but more ticklish after orgasm?

My new female companion seems to lose all ticklishness... is that a word?... when turned on. I don't understand. Somebody explain this to me in terms that don't require me to have a science major, please.

It may be a way of her mind focusing on the sexual part and therefore the normal ticklishness seems to be mitigated BUT after a certain positive neurological overload the whole body is filled with adrenalin, endorphins and other endogenous chemicals that lead to a higher sensitivity.

Does that make sense`?

Chuckle's pretty much got it down. The only technical thing is that Adrenaline circulates, but endorphins are present only in the brain. Adrenaline causes increased heartbeat, dilated pupils, and faster breathing.

As arousal increases, the brain is overwhelmed with sexual sensation and everything else becomes secondary. The same is true for pain tolerance--others here might be able to corroborate. Now, why sensitivity is so high post-orgasm I'm not sure. I'm also hypersensitive then. Relaxation and increased blood flow might have something to do with it.

Being extra sensitive to tickling after orgasm has to do with the fact that, leading up to orgasm, the brain sends endorphins to the genital area to stimulate that area, at the same time, it suppresses all other nerve endings.

Post-orgasm, the nerve endings that were suppressed are all of the sudden active, so the feeling of a touch or tickle seems amplified even though the brain doesn't perceive it as abnormal. It's kind of along the lines when a body part wakes up after being asleep, while not nearly as aggrevating or dramatic as "pins and needles".

How does the brain suppress nerve endings? The brain can't send signals down efferent nerves (the sensory nerves that connect to the spinal cord). It's more likely something central (in the brain) going on.

It can't be circulation because peripheral circulation is already high.

There you go. I thought of that relaxation part as well, but was not sure about the blood flow.

But Leo tickles isn't a girl with a lower ticklish level for a certain foreplay better? Concerning uncontrollable twitching? Okay... sorry this was not your question. But I was wondering bout that aspect for a few moments.

My explanation isn't nearly as academic as these, but I would think it's got to do with her focus. Once she's turned on, her focus is on sex and achieving an orgasm. It sounds like tickling isn't really a part of that for her, or something that she sees going hand in hand with sex, so her brain naturally separates the two.

When I'm around my family, I lose any and all ticklishness that I have the rest of the time. Tickling and family do NOT go together for me, so I naturally separate the two, and I'm not even ticklish if I'm caught off guard or something. It's just not there. That's kind of not a great example, because tickling and family going together grosses me out. I'm assuming tickling and sex together don't gross her out, otherwise it's unlikely you'd even be trying to tickle her during or after sex. But the principle, hopefully, is similar enough that you get where I'm going with it.

Good answers, I understand now, thanks!

Tickling turns her on, which leads to sexual stuff, which then leads to tickling, rinse and repeat.

I think I like her. 🙂

that's exactly right! the same thing happens to me 😀 depending of course on the situation. Like i'm not ticklish during sex or typical foreplay. But the thought of someone doing it still gets me going lol

But a bit before and after the "turned on" period i'm ticklish again. And yes it is because my mind is so focused on the 'sexual' feelings i'm experiencing.

🙂
