i understand what you're saying Scinsor, because i too heard "All Star" on the radio more times than i wanted when it was sooo popular. But i do admit that i did own the CD too, so maybe that combination really made that song seem boring. For being drunk, you sure did make a clear point LOL! Seriously, i'm glad you posted your opinon because a lot of people feel the same way.
The reason i like the song is because it's about a guy who's unhappy in his current relationship and misses the girl who got away. And the girl just comes back into his life and it's like WHOA BABY!

I despise this song. I despise it because it's one of those especially obscene pop songs that's hideously catchy, and, despite the fact that the lyrics read like something I would have written in 10th grade, it somehow manages to describe a situation a lot of us have experience with pretty fucking well.
