Sorry if I seemed harsh, but I've see so many people doing something like that and it's hard enough to get more women to show themselves here. I just think that if folks here would treat showing their interests and parts of their lives like they would want someone else to do, it would make a more relaxed atmosphere. Plus, I think it would be easier to trust someone that exposes themselves a little more. When I open a profile and I see nothing, or very little in it, it makes me wonder what they're hiding. Especially if you see that they have only posted a few times. It was not really my intention to insult or hurt you or anyone else here.

He's harsh, but correct, and it's great to see folks looking out for others. If you can't connect easily one-on-one, do consider a social event, a munch, to meet folks. It's a good ice-breaker for a location. Even if that doesn't find you "the one" it will ease your mind about meeting people and presenting the interest to them.
