Loss of ticklishness?

In the past I've had very limited tickling experience and it's been a while since I was tickled at all. One of my friends tried tickling me earlier and I didn't start laughing. It tingled but it didn't make me want to squirm or laugh. Could I be losing my ticklishness? Does that happen? God, I hope not.

I have noticed that some people lose their sensitivity with age. I know several people who used to be ticklish before and now they are not as sensitive as they used to be.

It is also possible that the person who tried to tickle you was not a good tickler. You need to run some experiments now. Line up the volunteers! 🙂

well, its happened to me as well 🙁 i really am not ticklish anymore......... used to be long back! but then i know people who werent ticklish at all as kids but now theyre extremely ticklish into their 20s 😉 so maybe it works the other way round as well!

my girl used to have a ton of places that she was ticklish but she's lost a lot of them. it sucks! but her feet are still money so at least i have that!!

I use to be ticklish behind my ears and on my arms but it seemed to have gone away over time. It's weird because I feel even more ticklish in all my other spots so it's like the complete opposite. Losing ticklishness sucks 🙁

as long as your sides and neck are ticklish, nothing else matters really 😛 😛 🙂 arms is nice but there are better ones 😉

I can't say I have noticed a decrease, they may be a slight increase though.
