Hi tickle friends,

I am taking the LSAT for the first time in June so of course, I've been studying. Any attorneys here who might have some solid advice?

Thanks in advance! 🙂

I am not an attorney but I think there are places that offer courses to help you prepare. Just be careful not all them are great. Hope this helps and good luck to ya.

Sure, for $400/hr plus a retainer.

Ok, attorney jokes aside. I took it years ago so my experience may be a bit stale.

I found review courses helpful but expensive. The most helpful part of the courses were the tips and tricks for the most likely ways the test makers try to trip you up. Get your hands on as many practice exams with answer explanations from as many sources as possible. It's all about repetition. I hear good things about Kahn acadamy which is free so check them out. There also may be other sources that weren't available when I took it like chat groups.

All that said, back up and ask yourself whether it's critical that you squeeze out every last point from the exam. Go take a couple practice exams from Kahn, or the review books at the bookstore/sold online, or wherever you're able to get your hands on them. If you're comfortably scoring high enough for your taget school then you probably don't need the paid review courses.

Good luck and try to have fun with it!
