Making Safe Words Fun

Hmm, I'd rather not goof around with safewords and keep a safeword (or safe signal, in case of gags) really as a safeword -- that is, some simple emergency break, which stops the scene immediately.
I see that there can be playful uses for "safewords" but maybe better have a (simple) emergency one as fallback.

Good point - the "real" safeword should never be used casually. It IS possible to do a "safeword scene" - where the whole point is to push the 'lee until he or she has to use a safe signal to stop it. It might be OK to use the regular safeword for such a scene, or choose a special safeword for that scene alone.

Another advantage of interrogation play is that the "stop signal" in that is not likely to be anything that you'd normally use as a safeword.

Good points, you guys... thanks for your input 🙂

Oh, and Steph? Maybe I'll be able to find that out for myself one of these days 😉 :xpulcy:  How ya been, sweetie?

Interesting...and fun...thread!

Although I think safewords are important, and they should be taken seriously, I also think that trust and experience are factors in a scene.

I have to trust a 'ler; otherwise, I won't play. The knowledge that a 'ler has enough experience to pay attention to a 'lee's physical and psychological state is a part of that trust. A good 'ler will be sensitive to the 'lee and will end a scene if a 'lee is in trouble...with or without a safeword.

Having said that, the safeword "Please stop, oh Master of the Universe" comes to mind. :smilestar

Im not one that uses safewords. but if i have to give a safeword to a woman, i prefer "dont stop" as my choice. :manicd:

words like
Zusammenklappbarer Tisch
and
Minderwertigskeitskomplexe
are good ones

Haha, just like that part in Eurotrip when they all go to Vandersexxx!

I once went to a dungeon where the mistress showed me a dollar she had found... someone had scribbled "Jesus Loves You" on the front of the bill. On the back, someone else had written "Satan Wants to Have Sex With You".

She tied me up and tickled the crap out of me until I said "Jesus loves you but Satan wants to have sex with you you sick mother%$&*er".

Suffice to say it took me a very long time to get this all out, several times she told me "Jesus can't help you now", and "Satanism is no way to get out of this", and twice she tickled me to tears after she accused me of calling her a "mother$&^#er".

It was truly exhausting!

OMG! :wow: That sounds excruciating!! yet so fun at the same time 😉 :manicd:

The safe words that I use in my sessions are as follows:
Red means stop.
Yellow means slow down.
Green means go.

You know like what the colors mean on a traffic light.

I found this story absolutely hysterical! Thanks for sharing!

Remember the film Mary Poppins ? Well for a safeword try Supercallafabulisticespealladocious.

When Jason and I were using a safe word, it was "red." Mostly because it was unlikely to be confused with "Oh, my God," and "I can't take anymore!" and "Nononononono!" and "Not there!"

Red works. 😀
