Personally I knew I was due for shaving at least once cuz I'm just too hairy in my region.
I shower, I shave (my face), I brush my teeth, and when I need to I'll use clippers on my nails. Anything more and your bordering on become a metrosexual d - bag. You might as well cut them off.
Metrosexuals probably get laid far too often to consider cutting their balls off. But to each their own.

Yeah, I don't necessarily equate "manscaping" with metrosexuality. Personally, if a dude is too groomed, it's not attractive to me, but some is preferred. This ain't the 70s.
I like manicures, pedicures, haircuts, and massages specifically because I like the physical attention. It offers the opportunity for a level of intimacy while maintaining innocence. If I could go to a boutique and have my pubes shaved by a pretty lady, I'd likely do that as well. But I'm not going to spend $300 for a dominatrix to do it.

Well thats certainly an over agressive response to a pretty light hearted thread.

Lol!
Man-cave! Man-hole! MANSCAPING!!!! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!
Has anybody else noticed that since we've been regressed to the 80's mentality in the last few years, that all of a sudden there are all these douche-based buzzword/lifestyle excuses surrounding men?
I shave when I fucking well feel like it. Sometimes I wait up to two weeks to do it inspired solely on my laziness.
I don't shave my chest, my balls, eyebrows, asshairs, fingernails, etc.
"Hey! Us guys are doing it!" (according to the corporate media) "You chicks should do it too!" "And twice as much!!!"
I just looked up the term metrosexual for the hell of it and a ton of David Beckham photos came up. He's a manly guy, an ex footballer{soccer} and could probably kick your butt. He seems to be doing okay and hasn't had his balls hacked off. I don't suppose you'd want to trade places with him? lol

Never understood why, if he's the main bread winner, why is he relegated to the basement?
The thing is, that "looking best" is very relative and unfortunately also very influenced by advertisement. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking pride in your appearance, whatever your gender and whatever your reason for doing so. Not wanting to look your best doesn't make you any more of a man than any one else. Just makes you a bit scruffy.
I'd also point out, that vanity and pride are dangerously close.

I want to look good enough to make people want to be around with me, but I don't try to act narcissistic. I don't like people, who are too obsessed with their appearance.

I dont think so. To each their own. As long as a person looks clean and presentable, I think its fine, but of course everyone has personal preferences for what they are attracted to and how they want to look. And probably their own definitions for what "clean" means as well lol.
I definitely agree that people shouldn't be too obsessed with how they look, I'm just saying I don't see anything wrong with people wanting to look their best. And to be honest it shouldn't matter to anyone else anyway. Just do you! And I prefer vain and prideful people to those who snipe at others who make an effort.
Do you have a chart to illustrate this?
i wanna fit in on the tmf. let me see the chart!
Are you suggesting that hawt chicks who go grocery shopping on sunday with no makeup and sweatshirts and sweatpants are worthless?
Think before you post.
I feel I should make a little clarification. I'm a little rebellious when it comes to looks, because I quite hate being "forced" to look "presentable", but I'm hygienic, because I care a lot about other people and I don't want them suffer needlessly if they for whatever reason need to be near me. 😀 So yeah I shave, I take a shower and all that stuff. I don't really try to get rid of any other hair than my facial one, because I feel it would be going quite far beyond what is currently a social norm."I'm going to try to be hygenic and not look like I just rolled out of my grease fryer/bed". You don't have to spend hours a day grooming and primping, but you shouldn't just ignore it totally. Shave, shower, use deodorant, none of these are really too much to ask, IMO.
