would it be possible to have the member’s picture section accessible to members only? it might make people feel a little more comfortable with posting their picture if it were. me for example. 🙂

Yes I have. I decided to leave it as it is. Mostly because I try to be as inclusive as possible in what people can see, and I think the number of people who might add images due to the change wouldn't be high (membership is free and open, so it wouldn't keep anyone out) so I just cannot justify the change.
