Mia's Tickle Gathering in New York

Hi Everybody,

You haven't seen me around much lately, but part of the reason is my business has taken up most of my time and the other part is trying to come up with a gathering that I host myself.

I, like most others, have a problem making the trip out to PA or way upstate NY and NJ. Therefore, I decided to whip (no pun intended) something up myself.

My Plan is to have a gathering in Queens, NY as a cozy prelude to a much larger gathering in not-so-upstate NY which is approx 2 hrs drive from Queens. The Queens gathering will most likely be set for the middle of March. The not-so-upstate NY gathering may take place in late April.

I must iron out some details but would appreciate any indication of interest in attending either or both.

As with most gatherings, it is a great opportunity to meet others with the same interest in a safe environment.

Check out this Indication of Interest Poll and cast your vote. Hurry! I must make final arrangements soon and space will be limited. The Queens gathering may not accommodate more than 20 people.

Thanks for the email. You'll definitely be kept informed. Space is limited so this is on a first come/first serve basis. I have about 10 fans that have indicated their interest. Space is limited to about 20.

Now, there are two ways we can go with this "gathering":
1) MUNCH style - which is basically a "meet n' greet" WITHOUT play.
This choice would take place at a local restaurant or diner. You would pay for what you order (foodwise). You get to meet others with the same interest that are fairly local. This choice is best when there are many more ticklers than ticklees or lot's more males than females. Also, keep in mind that this is a public venue with "vanilla" people around so discretion is a must.

2) Gathering style - This choice is a more private venue that allows for tickle-play and would most likely take place at a rented space such as a dungeon, home, or motel/hotel. Tickle tools will be supplied, there would be refreshments, and there would be a minimal cover charge per person to be paid in advance. After payment is received, then you would be added to the official guest list.
The ideal situation for this choice would be to have a good ratio of ticklers to ticklees. If the ratio is not condusive to tickle play, we may as well go with option #1.

The bottom line is with either option we will all be meeting each other and that is what get-togethers are all about.

I broke this down for a reason and that is to encourage interest from both lee's and ler's. Please indicate on your email to me whether you're a female/male and ler/lee. Thank you.

I've been researching and scouting spaces and have found an ideal spot in Farmingdale, LI, NY. This will be another option for us if the space in Queens does not pan-out.

Hi All,
So far about 15 people are interested in a get-together.

It will take place on Long Island instead of Queens. A date will be selected towards the end of March (Quite possibly one of the last two Saturdays in March). It will be a MUNCH style get-together, with a possible play time afterwards. Play time will be decided based on interest and a cover-charge will apply.

The MUNCH will be held in a Diner or restaurant in (quite possibly) Farmingdale, NY unless a better location surfaces.

As before, those interested please email me with the following info:
1) number of guests
2) Are you male or female
3) Are you a Ticklee/Tickler or Both
4) Provide Valid email address

You will be added to the guest list. Please NOTE: only those on the guest list will be informed of our MUNCH location (unless I decide otherwise). This is my first function of (I hope) many more to come so your patience is greatly appreciated. Fortunately, I have the support of some wonderful and very generous veterans.

Well it sounds like your Long Island location is perfect for what you want to do but I'm bummed that you're not meeting out in Queens. Now I have to take the train for an hour in order to find someone to tickle me? Bummer! ha 😉

Good luck with this! I'm helping put together the 1st North Texas tickling gathering, and it's been a lot of work, but should turn out well. Hopefully, if your gatherings become a yearly event I'll be able to attned. I really hope this works out for you! I'm sure you'll get a lot of attendees.

Hello All,

The get-together is going to be MUNCH style. That means that we will meet at a public venue, such as a restaurant or diner. There may be a possibility of play-time for those that want to participate. I'm still working on the latter.

The MUNCH will be on Sat, March 29th, time will be determined later. However, it will be in the afternoon time. The meeting place will be on Long Island and most likely in the Farmingdale or near Farmingdale area(someplace easily accessable from a LIRR station).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Those of you that are interested, please email me at [email protected] In the subject line you must write Gathering or Tickling, otherwise it will be deleted along with the junk mail that I receive daily. Merely, responding to this thread will not get you on the guest list. You must email me.

Included in the email in need the following general info:
1) Valid email address (that you actually check periodically)
2) How many guests including yourself.
3) How many female/male

Reserve this date on your calendar! More details about the MUNCH will follow as we get closer to the event date. Those that are on the guest list will be emailed the actual location with pertinent info.

Hello Everyone,

I ust want to thank everyone who has taken the time to email me and indicate their interest in the Long Island MUNCH.

So far there are about 40 ticklefans that have shown interest. This is way more than I expected and am very happy about it. The event date is still a ways off (Sat March 29th).

The reason for such a far off date is because I will be having some minor surgery on Tuesday, 2-18. As a result, I will need ample time to recover and then scout out a place that will accommodate the number of guests expected.

Please NOTE: The guest list will not remain open much longer. I will need to apply a cut-off date before it get's out of hand.

I haven't worked out the details yet, but I am almost certain that those who come to the MUNCH will secure an invite to the upstate NY Gathering later this Spring.

Please be patient with me for the next week as I may not be able to sit in front of my computer for a few days following my minor surgery (both eyes). This surgery is not a big deal and is more vanity driven and not necessity driven, however, my eyeballs will be very dry for a couple of days (I was told). Hence, I will limit my time in front of the computer if I put in any time at all this week.

So, enough about me and my drama. The bottom line here is don't get discouraged if you don't see me on the TMF or if I don't reply to your email right away.

THE CUT-OFF DATE FOR BEING ADDED TO THE GUEST LIST IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST. After this date, I will assess how many people will attend and decide on a suitable location. All potential guests will be notified of the details via email as we approach the event date.

Hey I made it!

Thank you all for your well wishes. I'm doing fine. All went well, thank goodness. My eyes are still slightly swollen and bruised. (I won't be doing any photospreads anytime soon😛) I mainly just wanted to come to this thread and see what was cookin'.

The deadline is tomorrow for emailing me to be in on the LI MUNCH. This is a work in progress for me since this is my first event. If all goes well, it won't be my last.

Right now, I'd like to see more ladies show interest in my LI MUNCH! This is the best and SAFEST way to meet others of a like mind. I encourage all those interested (especially ladies) to email me by COB tomorrow. (That's "close of business" to you civilians) this means 5pm. At that point I will work with the list that I have and begin narrowing down locations and details.

I must stress, that after tomorrow (Friday 2-21-03) LI MUNCH info will become priveledged and will therefore not be made available to the public. I appreciate your cooperation. Be well. 🙂

Good t'see such security measures, Mia. I'm bettin' you have a great munch. I can't imagine that ALL those Long Island and Manhattan ticklephiles wouldn't wanna encourage you to have a gathering. I know I was ALWAYS discouraged by low turnout to munches, but the East Coast has more heart than the West, where munches are concerned. Lookin' forward to hearin' how it rocked!
