Guys all around the world do it everyday! I can't name the number of guys who tickled females and copped a feel at the same time (or would have tried to if they got the chance). Bottomline, that's also molestation.

I know that there are people tickle as a precursor to something else (it's a sexually charged activity for many of us). I also know that tickling has often been used as a gateway to inappropriate touching of children in the past. What I am angry at is that there are now dozens of news articles about Michael Jackson tickling these kids and allegedly turning it into molestation. And I am sure there will be more dialogue about it in the future.

I'd like to think otherwise but this news article and its incidents will be remembered by mainstream people who may come across our nice little community or talk to someone who is open about their tickling interests/activities. I am a happy ticklephile and do not appreciate any public association with anything that hurts children or smacks of child exploitation, molestation or psychological harm. That's why I am not pleased...I have no wish to have a gentle activity that we enjoy as consensual adults (and may fantasize about in less than consensual ways) be linked in such a public way with such reprehensible activity.

I understand Stacy's concern because when I read the article this morning, I thought the same thing. Great!!! Now my fetish is going to be viewed as dirty and perverse BUT I also agree with Mimi and Ticklesmurph. Tickling is what adults to do children. I watched the re-enactment of the Michael Jackson trial on the E! Channel. The 24 year old who claimed that he was molested by Michael Jackson used the word "tickling" about 25 times in his testimony. He said it very casually as if that part of the physical contact was no big deal. He did, however, have a hard time saying the word "testicle". In fact, he wouldn't say the word. He referred to it as "option 2."

I couldn't help but think how differently people think and feel. If I was on the stand, I could have said the word "testicle" all day long. I would have been embarrassed saying the word "tickling", "tickle", "ticklish" or any other form of the word. Having to admit in a court of law that someone tickled me and that I laughed would have been incredibly embarrassing. Anyone else feel the same way?
