Without doubt your Mother's physical presence will be deeply missed, but she will always be with you. Share your memories and feelings with your family members, particularly. You need each other now more than before. Don't stifle or regret the laughter that may come as you share memories. You need some laughter to balance out the heaviness of your hearts. My best to your and your family.

Judy, I offer my deepest sympathies to you and your family, and will continue to remember you in my humble thoughts and prayers.
Sis and I lost our precious mother at this same time of year (12/11/77), so I know it's worse when you lose someone dear during the holidays. Even though nothing could prevent the grief and sorrow we felt at the time, I still treasure the many wonderful friends who were there for us. I can never repay all the kindness and love displayed to my father, younger sister, and I during that difficult time; made a most difficult experience easier to endure.

thank you all for your wishes, I truly appreciate your support. I know my mother is in peace now. My son and daughter upon learning that she was so sick sent a paper bird with me to place on her stomach as she passed, my son and daughter sent their love with their grandma to heaven.

J Pie , I know how much you love your mom and how good you took care of her in these last few months , she couldn't have been in better hands then yours . I,m sorry your love has parted , but it is never forgotten , for in memory , love still lives .
I'm sorry to hear your mom has passed away but I bet you're glad she's no longer in pain and suffering. I can remember first praying my mother would stay, then found myself begging God just to take her and make the suffering stop.

Jpie I am sorry about your loss ,my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family .I wish I could comfort you by offering as many hugs as you need anytime .I am happy to hear that the family was all with her to share those last hours with her and while your MOm is in a better place ,she is still in your heart,mind and someday you will be reunited again..

Thank you all for your well wishes and words of kindness. Tuesday was rough, but we all realize this is not at all the way she would have wanted to lead her life. It was a peaceful passing and she is in a better place. The funeral is tomorrow which is going to be a much more somber atmosphere. Right before I came in I was finishing my eluogy. The most important thing now is that her dad gets better from rehab, and for us to be there for him when he returns.

It is always hard to lose a loved one, especially at this time of year. I lost my last living relative, my brother, on Christmas Eve, 2002. I know the feelings your having right now. As I said, my entire immediate family is gone.
But always remember that some day there will be a grand reunion with you and your mom.
I don't know what was wrong with your mom, but now she is painfree and at peace. Try and take a little comfort in this fact. I know it will be hard.
Try to remember the fun and happy things you and your mom shared, and it will be a little easier.
That's what I did about my brother, I remembered all the nights we spent at the races. He had a 55 Chevy that we both worked on and raced. We had a lot of good times.

so today we brought dad to his house from his rehab to sit Shiva for mom and I have lit my memorial candle (all Jewish traditions), so many friends and family came to pay respect and to reflect on my mothers wonderful soul and life. It still doesn't feel real that she is gone, somehow you always think your parents will be around. Life goes on...
I am so appreciative of the support of my family and friends, including the friends here. I really need to take care of my dad now.
