More devices with internet = discovery of tickling fetish at much younger age

Lets face it. We all knew it at a young age that we enjoy tickling, but not all of us had access to a computer with internet until we were a bit older. It was access to the internet that helped me to realize what this whole tickling thing was all about.

I really knew when I was 11 going on 12 using the computer with a search engine for the first time. I remember having dial-up connection in the late 90's. This is how I found out what a fetish is and why I felt the way that I did about tickling at a very young age. It all made sense at that point. For anybody 10 or more years older than I, you guys had much less computer access so you might have realized even later than as a pre-teen the way that I did.

Now it seems now in this day and age really young kids and preteens all have cellphones, iphones, ipads, laptops, ect. which all have internet access. When I was in grade school and intermediate school, only the wealthy kids had cell phones and nobody carried a lap top around unless it was for work. Now I see almost every child with one of these electronic devices. Are people into tickling possibly now realizing it at a much younger age what having a tickling fetish is all about because of what they have access to? I'm 27 and realized then I was 12. From most stories I hear talking to TMF members in their 40's for the most part (everyone is different) they came to the realization of tickling being a fetish later on between 18 and early 20's. And I am not making asumptions. I am sure there are outliers who don't fit into the age groups. The age of discovering the fetish seems to just get younger with more access and exposure. So if I was 12, are kids finding out younger than that? It's kind of scary.

Unless there are parental controls, a minor can have membership on sites like TMF and fetlife and simply change the year of birth. In the 90's, I don't remember parental controls being a huge issue. My parents did not know even how to use a computer. If a tickling site said "must be 18 or older to enter" I clicked to get on it anyway lol. Parental controls in these devices have come a pretty long way. I am not judging anyone for coming into this world at a younger age since I have stalked this site since I'm a minor myself; but then again at the same time; if it were my child under 18 years of age getting membership on these sites to have a tickle session, I can't see myself being too thrilled.

Just a thought, just noticing a trend. What do you think?

Most underaged people that join here usually just lurk for videos (I sure as hell did). Besides I really doubt any kids have actually made serious attempts to get a genuine tickle session with a 40 year old.

I knew I was "into" tickling and being tickled when I was extremely young, in fact it's one of my first memories.

I was on the internet around 12 years old and my parents did not use any sort of safety stuff, but I didn't really do anything that would put me in danger anyways. Strangely enough I never thought to search "tickling" until I was 15, which was the first time I ever found and watched tickling videos, read stories, etc. By the time Zac and I have children and they are of age to be browsing the net, we will have some sort of parental locks on it, but I don't think they'll come across any of the stuff we're into [at least, I hope not]. But if they do come across some sort of porn, as many kids I grew up with did at age 12 or 13, they didn't tell their parents about it - didn't really understand it - and they turned out okay, so I'm not too worried about it.

I found out i had my tickle fetish at the age of 13. I never really came to any forums or anything. I did find alot of videos to see what it was about but never associated myself with any older people. I really didn't start talking to people with the same fetish as me until I was 19 years old. even then i was still uncomfortable, but its not like parents can really pay attention to that really. Not to mention my mom had locks on websites, but the tickling sites were not in that blocker which I thought was funny.

I knew I had an interest in feet and tickling when I was very young, about 3 or 4 years old. I didn't know what fetishes were until I was in my teens and early 20's but I knew I had that interest at a young age. Without the internet or other people to talk to that had the same interests I just kept it to myself so of course it took even longer to find people with the same interests. If I'd had the internet when I was younger I'm sure I would have found out about fetishes much sooner so I definitely think the internet makes a difference.

I get what you're saying, but like many here, I knew I liked tickling before I was really old enough to know why I liked things. I certainly didn't new any exposure to media -- that I am conscious of anyway -- to bring it out of me.

So many youngsters here, I can go back a bit further. I was into tickling since I was a kid, bringing it up with the ex just inspired her to humiliate me in front of her friends, (one of the reasons she's an ex now), Adult magazines had ads for Tao Productions, there was Tied and Tickled magazine, there were the stories in Variations, though I have to admit, the stories published in the 70's sounded more like people sharing life experiences, while those in the 80's, The Reagan years, the Me generation, they started to sound more like folks trying their hand at writing porn. So early on I started to get it that I wasn't alone, though there was no real means of contacting like minded folks except through the adult personals. Then there were the sensual massage therapists, with the added pleasure of the happy ending, but I have to admit, that may have fucked up my sexuality a bit for serious relations afterwards.
The internet came last, and though it seems like a horn of plenty, it's largely folks sitting at their own computers at home facing a screen. Some are fortunate enough to be in relationships that include tickling, while others still are close enough to the East coast for the Nest gatherings. The internet has helped speed things up, but there where still signs of this life back in the analog days. True, a lot more kids are now getting into it younger and younger, but I don't know what the long term results are going to look like until we get there.
