Mortuary’s license revoked for cutting corpse

Probably a little more to this then the story tells. First off who bought the coffin that was too short?

Well that's sick.:disgust: Years ago here in Austin a funeral home owner wrapped a dead embalmed body in a sheet and left it on the familys front porch because they were having trouble paying the bill.

Now the man deserved to be paid in full for his services but still, maybe try to work with someone first.

You've got to be kidding.
People are so ridiculous.

I wish i was kidding but it happened.I don't remember the outcome but i think his license was suspended and another funeral home donated their services.

I remember that.

Here in the DFW area one guy's funeral home went out of business so he left a van with three bodies in it parked at his house for several months. He had to pay a fine & put up a billboard apology.

These are kind of the mortuary equals of restaurant workers who drop food & put it back on the plate or, I guess.

Given the wrong-sized casket, and the fact that there's a time-window for the funeral/wanting to avoid decomposition, I could see this happening, and then covering the bottom half with a silk sheet. It sounds like a typical shortcut that's nonetheless against policy.

What the fuck?! I hope the family of the deceased sues the hell out of them. What an insensitive, sickening thing to do. If this or anything like it had been done to my grandfather after he passed, there would have been a slew of other funerals to hold on account of all the dead mortuary workers caused by my enraged hands.
