Hopefully. a benign thread.

What is the most gross thing that forum members have had on pizza, which they didn't necessarially want.. or order.?

I was home working today, and ordered lunch from Dominos. I clearly said a "plain pizza". When the pizza came, it had.. what looked like salami, pineapple, and God knows what else on it. Rather than call back and order another, and have to wait, I decided to try it first. It tasted positively disgusting. (Only my opinion)., After that, I just decided to take off all the pineapple and salami, and wing it.

So, that's the question. Most gross thing you've had on pizza, that you didn't want?
 
Does it only count if you ate it too?
 
Umm. not necessarially. I maybe should have titled the thread. "Most Gross Thing That Arrived On Your Pizza, Even If You Didn't Order It" LOL
 
ooOOOoooohhh! Okay, that changes everything. Well, I once ordered a pizza in Portugal and it felt a little heavy when the guy gave it to me, turned out to be somebody's Neptune Special and it looked like Jacques Cousteau had thrown up violently in the box. Even the cats wouldn't touch it and I swear by god something slithered wet out of the box when I wasn't looking. :dancingmonster:
 
Gross... or unusual? Best (unusual) combination of ingredients I had was in Switzerland. I had pineapple, chicken, and curry... it was strangely delicious. But not many would agree 🙂
 
des might have a point about unusual. I mean, I thought the things on my pizza today were gross, but it doesn't mean all would.
 
I am not adventurous with pizza at all. The only toppings I like outside of plain cheese, is pepperoni and/or sausage. Anything else makes me want to puke up my breakfast or lunch.
 
I wish I had something to add to this inquiry, but the fact is that I like massive variety in my pizza toppings. I like lots of them mixed together "supreme-style," ... even make my own deep dish and,.. C.A.B.'s Stephen King-ish experience notwithstanding, I cannot say that I've ever been put off by anything that's ever turned up on a pizza. Of course, I've never seen one with liver, either; that would do it.

Not at all, Milz... there's nothing on earth more delicious than a death-defying REAL homemade Cesar dressing made with raw farm fresh yokes and anchovies... oh, if I could only get a few of these TMFrs in my kitchen... they'd never want to leave.

Peanut Butter & Jelly. This all you can eat Pizza Place in Orlando had many types of Pizza. I don't remember the Name of the Place.
 
A friend of mine told me that he worked at a pizza shop once and his buddy left the dough out on the table on a hot day. Flies landed on it and laid maggots. The buddy didn't want to tell the boss that he had to throw away pounds of dough so he figured that they would die in the oven. He served several people pizza's that day with a little extra meat. I of course didn't trust pizza shops for a month after hearing the story so sorry about that guys.
 
Mitch how the hell could you live in NY and get pizza from Dominos? If you live in Kentucky or Idaho you get Dominos Pizza

As someone who loves a good, NY-style pizza, I'm inclined to agree. Heck, my personal opinion is that just saying you ordered Domino's Pizza provides a qualified response to this thread! 😛

Seriously, I'll echo the anchovies, not because I think it's disgusting, but because I couldn't make it through an entire slice because of how salty it was.
 
As a former Chicagoan, I have never in my life had Dominoes.

Had pizza hut and Papa John's a few times though. :/

NOT the same.
 
Er.. why I got Dominos. I have their number in my phone, and it was quick.
