This is a memorial site for her made by her grandmother.

This story makes me cry so hard because I understand what that little girl went through because I endured many of the same things growing up. I do not understand how any human being can hurt a child but the sad thing is it happens every single day.
 
I don't want this to turn into a corporal punishment/spanking thread. The people on this forum who are pro aren't child abusers by any means. There is an enormous difference between using spanking as a discipline method (usually the very last resort per my experience) than beating a kid because the remote got lost or he/she stood in the way of the tv set. Or even worse, a two year old who forgot to say Please and thank you!

But what was done here was beyond deplorable-simply nothing to excuse what that baby went through. How can a grown man can take a thirty pound two year old and throw her against a wall until her skull broke is way beyond anything I could get behind.
 
But prosecutors say Trenor did nothing to save her daughter, not even when Riley told her mother "I love you" as she was being beaten.

Ab-so-lute-ly horrible. I was never hit as a little kid, but in my teen years, oh you bet I was, and always deserved it too. I will never understand parents who beat/murder their own children in cold blood. Yates (though she was crazy), Anthony, and now this chick and her "husband". But I'll keep that, and my limited views on CP for a separate thread, should it arise.

Off topic: Rob, it saddened me to read your post, but I can understand your sadness of hearing a child (not one that I helped create, of course), tell you that they were punished by spanking.
 
dude, thats just too fucked up for words. People like that, being drawn and quartered is too good for them.

That is really messed up

Those two parents oughta go through every day what their little girl went through. Kis is right, they shouldn't have any more children so they both should be fixed. That is a TERRIBLE FORM OF CHILD ABUSE :ranty:. Their daughter didn't deserve that at all. I agree that children should learn manners but that's not the way. There's the NORMAL WAY without beating up your child :sowrong:.

You know, I'm not really sure about this, but I think I read somewhere that it costs more to execute a prisoner than to lock them up for life.

Maybe someone knows for sure?

Actually I did a debate on the Death Penalty and in my research many different sources actually state that the death penalty would be cheaper if it were not for the appeals and such.
 
I don't believe in corporal punishment either. Not to say that I haven't been tempted to smack one of my kids on the hiney. I got the belt treatment as a kid too. But even hearing one of my kids cry just tore my heart. I can't imagine doing something like this. That's the point. None of us can. Isn't it funny that we are called sick and perverted by society, yet we would never hurt a child?
 
I decided to check out this part of the site today. I found this article. Playtime is over. I was abused to the point of hospitalization when I was little. I have a child. I share custody of her. When I do have her, there is a period where she tests me. I spanked her only once in her life and I cried more than she did. I will never spank her again. Ever.

Amen to the posts that I have read.

The good news, if there is any, is that these people can be put into general population in the prison since they won't be on death row. They will not fare well there.

Where are the death penalty foes now? Come on...come out with your "The taking of a life is never justified for any reason" bullshit. These two people forfeited their right to breath. Period. Use the electric chair and make sure you "Green Mile" them.
 
Judging by that picture there of her sitting in court with a smile, she doesnt seem too broken up about it. it never ceases to amaze me how sick of a world we live in. no wonder why i try to avoid people as much as possible.
 
Oh my god, I felt sick as soon as I saw the child's photo before I even read the story. Usually I'm a little thick skinned when it comes to these stories but that one hurt me.
 
Okay, never saw this thread till today. What the hell is wrong with these people?! I could NEVER imagine beating my child because JUST they were having a hard time learning manners. Fucking trash.
 
No,you know what life in prison is not enough.I don't even know what punishment allowed under the US constitution could possibly be enough to punish this horrendous,heinous act of deliberate cruelty and abuse to this poor,precious baby girl.
