As a joke, I took up the Recorder (vertical flute) and Irish Tin Whistle. Learning bagpipes (practice set).

... And why not? Due to the recent previous posts, this is clearly a subject that displays continued interest.

I've played the guitar over the course of 15 years or so. I used to be really serious about it and practice with great regularity, having dreams of making it in the music industry. Nowadays, it's just an ever-so-occasional hobby.
I started playing piano at age 11. Started playing guitar at age 17. In the 1980s, I was playing keyboards for three bands, while also working full time. I had zero free time, but those were some of the best years of my life.
Presently, I enjoy composing original songs and recording them using a combination of MIDI sequencing layered with live keyboards, vocals, and guitars.
