whatever, and you don't care, then it's no problem

Your garden is looking good...as are you. My garden is struggling with the super hot, dry weather. I got my first zucchini yesterday, with one more soon to be ready. The other zucchini plants have yet to begin producing. And my tomatoe plants are barely growing much less producing. My basil and lemon balm are doing okay, though.

We've had both the heat and rain problem. My carrots didn't make it so I planted a quicker growing variety of bowl lettuce but it looks like the lettuce is a goner too. I've been lucky with my tomatos and peppers. They should really produce this year.

Not really Impaler. It has been so hot this last week with little water. I fed the garden and don't want to drown it with the new forecast of rain. That picture was taken at about 4pm and the moisture was gone from the surface. I planted in good black dirt.

It was really hot and dry as a bone this summer where I live in VA. My grandpa had very little corn because of it. I love corn to death. Curse this awful dry spell! It has hardly rained the whole summer. We did get a good amount of squash and potatoes. His tomatoes are growing, but with no rain they are ripening fast and not growing very big. The butter beans are doing ok, but a huge rain shower would really help right now. When I walk outside the grass is so dry it sounds like I'm stepping on dry pasta. On a side note, nice legs!
