Firstly, this NEST was something of a blur to me. We had less than 48 hours there, most of which were spent violently coughing and crashing early because of a nasty cold. So I didn't get to see and chat with nearly as many people as I would have liked. In fact, seeing all these NEST threads, I realize there are a lot of people I never even met at all. If I didn't get to see you, please accept my apologies for being a bit more antisocial than usual. It was not by choice.
Secondly, this NEST was still amazing and one of the best gatherings I've attended. Sarah and I were honored to be asked to be newbie liaisons this year and we really had a blast chatting with the newbies ahead of time and creating what was hopefully an entertaining orientation program. I know if nothing else, seeing Slacker throw CrystalLight to the floor like a rag doll and start wailing on her because she poked him was well worth all the effort.
Lee and Amanda: Thank you for letting us play a small role in NEST this year and thank you for all the amazing work you have done this year and every year to continue to make every NEST better than last. Your attention to detail and love for this event is very evident and really helps make this event so special to us.
NEST Team: Thanks also to TkChgo, Libertine, Kittentoes, SpotLady, Spotman and everybody else who helped out to make this event so great.
Newbies: While I didn't get to meet all of you, I saw and heard nothing but raves from this group. Everywhere I looked people were joining in, socializing, cutting up and having a blast. I can't imagine a better class of newbz than you guys and you should all be very proud.
Lite and Kwil: It's so awesome to see you both every year. You bring so much joy and enthusiasm for this event and are really welcoming, warm, special people.
HDS: Awesome to see you as always my friend. I'm glad you live only a couple hours away so you can pop into the city sooner than later.
Falcon: I almost lost it when you gave Mike that sobriety test. Hope to spend more time with you next time.
Natural: Always a pleasure to see you my brother.
Homer28: I can't believe it had been almost a couple years since last I saw you. I certainly hope it is far less till next time. You are really one of the nicest people I've ever met and make any party a lot more fun.
NG02: Dude you are an awesome dealer. And I say that not because I demolished that poker table, but you really know your stuff. Awesome to see you as always.
Snailshell: Pleasure as always to see you my friend. Thanks for helping out with the skits.
TropicThunder: You are such a joy to meet. You had a smile on your face every time I saw you and looked like you were having a blast. I can't wait till the next time to get to know you better. Hopefully in November.
Tim and Emily: You are such an awesome couple. I'm so happy you are getting married. Couldn't happen to nicer people. Tim, your story at the talent show was hilarious, and quite the cautionary tale.
TexasTickler: I'm very glad I got a chance to catch up with you this time around. You are really one of the best people I've come across. Hope to keep seeing you at NEST for many many years to come.
Nenezhino: You've been at every NEST I've attended so far, despite the fact you have to travel a few thousand more miles than me. Don't think I can imagine a NEST without you, and hopefully I won't have to.
Fireguardian: Christina I saw far too little of you, but you did an amazing job with casino night.
Kered: Awesome to see you as always 3 high.
Shira and Tamara - It was beautiful to finally see you both. Tamara you as awesome as advertised and Shira I have never seen you so happy. It was a pleasure. More time next year.
Meg and Kelby: You are two of my favorite people and we were so glad we got to hang out with you at the talent show. Hope we see you over the summer.
Aimee: You are so not a 'ler, but for a 'lee you aren't half bad
Lyz: You better get your ass over to NY soon to make up for sleeping through your role in orientation. Miss ya very muchly hon.
CrystalLight: I was so happily surprised to see you at NEST. And I don't think I've seen you so happy in a long time. I'm so glad things are going so well for you. You so richly deserve all the happiness in the world and I know you have an amazing future ahead of you.
Youngmachin: I had such a blast hanging out with you this weekend. You are such a sweet girl and next year maybe you can actually get that introduction to urinals.
Musicroxmysox: You know how we feel about you. Can't wait to see you this summer.
Slacker and Stacy: You are two of our best friends on the forum and really make every gathering so much better. Much love to you both and I'm sure you'll have a lifetime of happiness together.
Kraziedog: Love you my brother. You have been my best friend on here for years and can't imagine a NEST without you. Can't wait to cut up the Rockies with you and Mel in September.

And to the 100+ people I glossed over because I don't have time or the memory to type out a shout out for all of you, you all rock and make each NEST a unique, special awesome weekend.
