my tickling turned bad :/

Oh and PS) I am an assistant manager at my job so no worries. Im not the type of person to go looking for trouble or lawsuits or cause anyone to lose their jobs over an accident!
Like I said, that doesn't matter. First, from the company's perspective, they can't be sure of this about you. They can't afford to tolerate behavior like that even if they are sure, because it might encourage someone to do it to an employee who didn't have your forgiving nature.

Second, you don't have to sue them for them to have trouble over this. Any other employee who saw it or even heard it and felt uncomfortable about it would have a sexual harassment claim. Sad, but true.

Third, you were injured (minor or not, it doesn't matter) at the workplace as the result of an employee doing something that he didn't have any business doing. If you're an assistant manager then I shouldn't have to tell you that that's the kind of thing that gets people fired.

Oh good grief. She summoned up her courage and told us about her fun but unfortunate experience which she is fine with... and you folks have turned this into a ranting soapbox-fest about work, HR, behavior, lawyers and whatnot.

Cut her some slack people. Take a chill pill.

Thanks for the story sillygrl. Sheesh.

my word...

yes, guys, chill. I know he went to far when he chased her, he should have just let her go after she got away but he seems to be really sorry for what he's done, and to say no more work tickling lol.. harsh! maybe just be a little more careful next time around the work place lol, i mean tickling makes it a little less boring, especially when you're got a cute ticklish assistant manager lol 😛

and i'm sorry about your head too, i'm glad you're doing okay and things weren't worse, just be more careful next time. but don't stop having fun and i hope he forgives himself soon and has some fun too 😛

thank you very much mt and marcus!!! And everyone else who didn't take this WAY TOO FAR!!!

Actually I was just pointing out that she was luckier than she realized, and that this was a really, really bad idea even though she wasn't injured badly. She started arguing that no, it wasn't that bad. But yes, it really was.

Not a rant. I wasn't even criticizing her (though I was criticizing the guy that started it).

And I still say anyone who sees it, and does not ask for it not to be in their vision should have their case thrown out of court.

Hope that you are feeling better!

Just goes to show you what can happen in Roughhouse Play.

This is something you tell her in pm NOT out where it can embarres her! And she's probably ticked that you criticized her friend too, I know I would be. I personally would walk away from any job that got pissed at my friend for this kind of accident like this and then find a new job.

Very probably. But by that point it has already cost the business more than one of these employees makes in a year for legal costs.

Businesses don't put up with anything that even hints at the possibility of a lawsuit these days. They can't afford to.

Ah, just like you're doing here, you mean? :illogical Luckily I'm not embarrassed.

people people!!! i know everyone has their own opinions but goodness!! i just wanted to share a story..not get criticized like a little kid! And it takes alot to embarass me and as i see it, they are embarassing themselves by acting like they are the boss and they know what is right and wrong and whats best for me. Everything is ok now and think this was my first and last story to tell.

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and makes it through the week ok!

I am sorry about this sillygrl22, honestly I am glad you are okay. I hope you don't think I was criticizing you about anything.

I'm in full agreement with sillygrl22, everybody here...and in American society, ...needs to calm the hell down! Jesus Christ, because of this attitude which has been accepted by almost all American's, that's why when you drive to the rich part of town, and see all the mansions, they're all fucking lawyers! Everybody sues so damn much, nobody can do anything fun anymore!

Will this country grow the hell up! What has happened to America!? It's like we all turned into a bunch of whiny ass little babies - "Boo hoo hoo, wahh, he's winked at me! Sexual harassment! Sue! Sue! wahh!" "Her wonderfully soft, pantyhose clad foot grazed my leg at the business meeting! Wahhhh! I'm gonna sue!"

I totally agree with you.

don't be like that girl, just becuase these people are arguing with you or whatever don't let it be your last... i wasn't arguing or anything. don't let dumbnuts stop you, okay?

Sillygrl, I hope you give that tickler a big hug. What an awesome story...except for the injury which was clearly unintentional and accidental. I'm a big fan of tickling in the work place, and as long as neither party is offended by it, which is true in this case, then there's no problem with it.

There's a few topics that I've noticed have a dramatic effect: Tickling in the work place, tickling children, and tickling strangers. Whenever a story that pertains to any of these topics is brought up, a third of the TMF membership suddenly become lawyers. Please don't let these know-it-alls ruin it for you. It was a great story and most are glad you shared it!

I've noticed that too

This is all true, assuming the incident happened in the heart of corporate United States. Maybe sillygirl is from somewhere a bit more healthy.
