Another reason why it's a bad idea is because I can't play poker to save my life... lol. I wouldn't want to miss out on NEST by default. 😀

It might be worth kicking around though. I'm pretty sure we can't play for actual money at an even without getting approval from some poomba or other.

I meant in the sense of ballroom--swing, foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, lindy, etc. Don't get me wrong, anything is all good, it's just that ballroom dancing is the only type I know.

AFA the games... It all sounds like fun. Just dont' get too carried away. There are plenty of TK games and activities planned throughout the weekend. There'll be more than enough to keep everyone busy...provided they WANT to be kept busy.

Hello all! I just finished my final registration for NEST, and I have to say that I'm pretty excited to be returning after many years of absence. Many of you know me as RJS canon, but I'v erecntly retired that moniker in facor of these new digs.

Anyway, I'm a 32 male switch and I went to two of the very early NESTS when they were held in Max's apartment.

I'm looking forward to seeing some old friends but also meeting a TON of new people since I've not been around for a while!

Let's see... I figure it's best to post in case we do make it to NEST, although the chances have plummeted even more, especially since we have other, more important traveling to do (no offense, but our families come first) around the same time and a few other things to "expect" 😉 if you get my drift.

Anyways, I am the somewhat infamous girlfriend of a very beloved TMF member and chat mod by the name of Flatfoot. Most of you know that by now. I am 22 in a few weeks and a ler, but I let him get his fix, so I am sometimes the lee. He and I both have never been to a gathering of any sort. I am not nervous in the least... not my style. Lucky for all of you, I won't be able to drink, so no seeing me karaoke to Madonna circa 1980's or anything of the sort.

If we do attend, we will mostly be observers. Tickling is far too personal to share even with a group of tickler/lees that we are acquainted with. It would mostly be a learning and social experience.

So, if we do end up going, I doubt I'll let anyone know and just surprise all my buddies and anyone else who is easily excitable.

I am Jim and I am one of the Grandpas on the Forum, proudly. While my body kept on growing the rest of me gave up growing up many years ago. I am a ler by choice and default and this will be my first NEST but I have been lucky enough to attend a couple of parties at MTP and one in New Hampshire. TheBoss (my wife) will not be able to attend so you aren't getting the best part of this duo, but I'm going to come anyway, unless something way unforeseen happens.

Space is filling up fast. If you're seriously considering joining us, might I recommend sending in an application now? That doesn't cost you a thing and will speed things up down the road when you make a final decision. We'd love to get to meet you!

Family obligations should always come first. Nobody is going to judge you on that one. AFA mainly observing, there's nothing wrong with that either. There are a number of people for whom this is primarily a social event. So, while there is surely plenty of play, the focus for many is on visitting with old friends and making new ones.

The first NEST that Drew & I went to was a few years back. We had no idea what to expect or how comfortable we'd be. Within half an hour of walking in the door, we felt right at home....so much so that I was tied down with half the guys there taking turns on me for the majority of the day. We spent more time playing than anything else. But, we found that it left us with less time to get to know people. So, we've changed our focus a bit. While we do spend time playing, we can do that any time. We're more interested in meeting people and just hanging out with our crazy "second family".

NEST is what each of us makes of it.

Looks like I might see you sooner than that party you and Flatfoot are throwing in July if you make it to NEST. I "expect" that if you guys made it you'd enjoy yourselves. 🙂

What can I say....? No... really... what can I say?! LoL! 🙂

I've applied just in case, but it's pretty unlikely that we will go. We would both have to take off work and everything and we're already planning to do that in both May and July so I'm not too sure how my employer will like that. Hopefully next year if we can't make it to this years.

Hi.....Im me. And most of you know who me is.
Wait did that come out right........ehhhhh.

Anyways, Im 34...ler only....but a lee to the right woman with the right convincing. Never been tickled before...so I dont know what if anything would happen. I have not been to NEST before, but went to a couple of gatherings in Denver, CO in the early 90's.
Ive been a member of the forums under many names (all derivied from Ace, either robace919, ace919, etc...) and have been around the community since the USENET and ASFT and AMT days.
Many people whom I have known online (not formally) for about 10 plus years are part of my main motivation for going. Also, I was married and my soon to be ex-wife was never approving of me attending such a function, so now that this bird isnt in the cage....I can fly free....to NEST. LOL, PUN INTENDED.

I will be spending most of my observing, talking and perhaps a lecture or demonstration or two, once I get my bearings on straight.
As for tickling.....I dont know, its a very "personal" thing to me, and I would tend to engage with someone I would have an interest in outside the TMF or beceome a very close friend with outside the forum.
Ask me no questions...I'll tell you no lies.

I think Im most looking forward to meeting those in the forum I have become close to in PM's and talking, and of course being able to put names and faces to "user names".

Hey a question....do we all have to wear name tags???

Guess i better jump in.Many of you know my name already,but for those who dont i'm Brad.I have not had a chance to go to a gathering,and this will be my first NEST.I'm 52,not married.I'm a ler,dont switch.

I'm going to be arriving in Philly Friday morning and plan to spent the day seeing as much of the historical distric as time allows.Also looking forward to meeting everyone,those i know from phone callls,e-mails and pms and other first timers.

I cant wait to see you all,June seems like its 6 months away 🙁
