I usually do not respond to posts such as this as I know all you want to do is cause friction. There is no reason to make disparaging comments about anyone's weight or calling people losers. If you choose not to attend NEST or any other gathering, that is your choice. There were no cliques in my experience. All I saw were friends enjoying themselves. I was never made to feel unwanted or unwelcomed. I had the time of my life! I say to keep the insults to yourself!

I'd just like to mention that I don't see NEST as cliquish. I have been invited numerous times by NESTies and non-Nesties. Unfortunately, I cannot attend such functions for a laundry list of reasons, This does not make me feel like an outsider, just the opposite, actually. I am happy to hear about a RL function that our fetish can enjoy (among others). To say otherwise would like harboring ill-will to those that attend sports events of the team you root for. Quite silly.

In paleolithic times, before the unification of our fetish via internet, such events were rare as hens teeth, let alone, having knowledge of their existence.

I think this entire thread is an overreaction of NEST attendee`s. I haven`t seen any comments about cliques for quite some time, it appears some of you have an ax to grind with those who choose not to attend. As for being relegated to the Gatherings Section, this is exactly where they belong along with all the other gatherings. Thats why that section was created. What happened a few years ago should never have been allowed in the first place. I don`t think it would be an exageration to say there must have been close to a hundred NEST threads in the weeks prior and after. Both Tickling and General Discussion were turned into a giant high school yearbook with all the NEST shoutout threads.:facepalm2: Any other thread was pushed to the back pages. This place was literally taken over for one month a year.

Personally, I have no problem whatsoever with a few NEST or other gathering threads being posted in TD or GD sections. Like others said, simply skip by them if they don`t interest you, just as the non foot people should ignore the "What celebrity do you most want to tickle" threads.:upsidedow
