I was talking with a young man from Portugal midway through the event yesterday. I asked him whether NEST was what he thought it would be, was it more or less than he pictured. He had a great reply: he said it was nothing that he could ever imagine.

I will say something more in a different thread but really Nest surprised me because i was expecting a bunch of people all sharing a comon interest and willing to play. I had no idea how I would fit in such a group because so far I´ve been fairly vanila in my life. I was not expecting such great persons, such a felling of belonging, no mater what age, gender, race, whatever. I felt everyone wanted to speak with me and I could trust and establish bonds with all of you. To be truth, I never expected to find such great people there. I now know besides being completely crazy, we are also a bunch of real fine people.

In the end, Nest ends up being not about the concept but trully about the people who are brave enough to show up and give themselves to each other.

Finally had a minute to get on board and read through this thread with a smile on my face--seeing eveyone's names and remembering the people behind them.
I never expected to have the kind of experience I had at NEST and to meet the lovely wonderful people I met (I'm talking to all you "newbies" I hung out with from the pizza party on, especially you, Tickles). I actually learned some things about myself (amazing what a weekend can bring about!)
Thanks Bella and Company for the great kidnapping, Lee for organizing such an event.
When I first started reading about NEST and contemplating attending I thought all the messages I read saying that NEST was more than tickling, it's about the people, was just a bunch of cliches. I went expecting one thing and came away with so much more. Several of you really meant a lot me--Oddball, TickleEmperor, TickleChgo, Impaler, and do I even have to mention what I think about Tickles?
I'm so glad I did this.

Yup, had a great time. Good to meet some of the people whose posts I remember from years gone by. Didn't expect the post-NEST letdown, even though I had heard all about it. Well, there it was. A special shout to the ticklish women of NEST! Definitely looking forward to next year.

OK I'm going to attempt this now. Tuesday nite here in upstate N.Y., "Lov2hateit" and I got home late last nite, and I had to work today.
I can never find the words to truely describe N.E.S.T. weekend. Only that it takes to long to get here and goes by WAY to fast. This was indeed my best NEST yet seeing that I finally got to bring my sweet little lady with me. She even became comfortable enough to do a bit of tickling and also get to be tickled as well.
Lee, Max, D.V.N.C., and all that put this weekend together. Thank you Thank you and Thank you again. You guys are second to none.

I kinda with my new glove had gotten more playing time, but as much as I love my new "toy", I'm still a hands-on tickler at heart.

I was treated so well by so many people who only a few days/hours ago were strangers, and made to feel like a old friend. I've had the post-NEST blues every year, but today I was sitting at work and it just hit...hard. I miss everyone so much!

I'm going to post more when I can wrap my thoughts up into a coherent package.

This whole thread is what makes me go crazy that I missed Nest '08!
What a year to miss 🙁 And the thing that makes me crazy is that I missed all the people, making new friends, putting faces to screen names,not the tickling.
Although tickling is certainly up there 🙂

Oh well, there is always NEST 09. Or maybe NEST 08.5...we haven't had an October NEST in a while. 🙂
