Neutron got banned?

I only recently found out that Neutron was banned quite some time ago...whilst I'm surprised he was always friendly to me and we worked together on quite a few stories so naturally I'm curious as to the reason behind his banning.

Perhaps someone might shed some light on exactley what circumstances led to Neutron no longer being able to post on the TMF? Also, is it perminent or a temporary ban?

Anyone else who actually knows the reason behind Neutron's banning and isn't just wandering the boards randomly insulting people?
 
The reason for the banning is repeatedly violating the golden rule and attacking people. If the posts hadn't been pulled, a simple search of his posts would have shown you exactly what kinds of things he said. Sufice it to say he messed up. As for specifics, I don't think that's appropriate to be posting about.

Wow. I didn't even know about this. I know he put an awful lot of time and effort into getting himself banned. Still, I'm sorry he couldn't temper himself enough to remain.
 
History Teaches Us...

According to the archives he was banned along with his arch-enemy ElectricEye for excessive flaming. I was on the TTC for a while (thats where Neutron is) and spoke to him on an occasion or two. Very rude at times and polite and courteous on others. As for the ElectricEye guy I heard he had ties to the Manson Family (im not kidding) and simply too dangerous to keep on a message board because he was making threats. Its amazing what you can find when you dig REALLY deep on a message boards archives. :lurking:

i didnt think that sounded like you... as for the ban, heck i'm sort of a newbie still but even i heard he was banned. i'm wondering, and of course this doesnt have anything to do with him, but are these bans permanent? i mean like forever?

It depends on the severity of the offense, Izzy. A mild offender may only get a week or two ban, simply to drive the point home that we mean business and they've not heeded the warnings given to them. More serious offenses earn an immediate lifetime ban.

Sometimes someone repeatedly breaks the rules again and again and again, though, and we exhaust every possible way of trying to get them to abide by our policies. Once they leave us with no other option, they too will earn a permanent life long ban. That is what happened in this case.

Actually Electric Eye was a myopic janitor from New York. Yes janitor was his real job. Outside of the voices in his head he had no ties to anyone and was no more dangerous than a cotton ball..

There was someone in his head, but it wasn`t him. :shock: He was a weird guy, to say the least. His sig pic had a photo of Charles Manson. Nuff said.

With all do respect Furion but theres nothing wrong with being a janitor. Im not defending this Manson guy but not everyone can have a white collar job and drink in pretentious coffee houses acting like they know everything like they do on Friends. If a guy has a job and is supporting himself then hes better than a lot of people who are too lazy to get a job and suck social services dry. Also there are Skinheads all over the net so perhaps this Electriceye character was in with them and their particular sect had ties with someone who had ties with Manson. You have to be really careful with whom you speak to and give your info to on the net is all im saying. Anythings possible. :atom:

However Electriceye had about 20/2000 vision, and knew no one outside the burough of New York in which he lived. He was far from a Skinhead. In fact last I knew the Skinheads don't accept minorities.

I know a few people who admire Manson, it doesn't make them dangerous or a member of his family.

Well its good that you dont demean the 1,000s of people who get down on their hands roll their sleeves up and work for a living. I agree 100% that anyone who works for a living should be proud and im glad you see that. 😀

Personally, I had no major problems with Neutron when he was here even though he bumped into a lot of folks. Electric Eye on the other hand was just very troubled and out of control-I did not get along with him at all. I personally hope he takes time to address his issues and get in control of himself.
