I too must agree...

...that the chatroom is the place to start and to be for that matter.
In this community, a high level of trust is gained by first chatting and getting to know one another and gaining a "reputation" that is positive and trusting. Things will progress naturally and before you know it, you are attending your first gathering or meeting someone.
By the by, I met lots of people in the community through THIS forum.
I also met the women of my dreams in THIS forums Chatroom.
Many others have done the same.
Some of the worlds best people are right here and as I have said before, and approaching perhaps redundant, I am proud to call and consider them all "Friends".

If there are any commonly expected rules or expected courtesy(ies) that is(are) generally followed in the chatroom, I would like to know about them. I too have tried the chatroom, and found myself essentially typing to myself.

The answers to your question are basically easy.
Go into the room, briefly introduce yourself and say hello to everyone and join in the conversation.
Be yourself. Don't be pushy or rude. Treat everyone as you want them to treat you. The rest will eventually fall into place.

Becoming part of the chatroom is a lot like becomeing a regular at a neighborhood bar. It takes time. People who are regular presences become 'known'. Once known they get talked to. It takes time. Also the conversation is not always tickling, give it time, and you'll connect with some people. Say hello to me and I'll be sure to chat with you.

True, I mean if someone in the chatroom says hi to me, I always say hi back, and usually engage in at least a brief conversation. Those that are civil to me I talk to all the time. Feel free to just pop into a conversation🙂 Hope to see you in there

Quick technical questions;

What's required on the browser side ?

e.g.,,

Cookies ? Java ? JavaScript ? Gif Animations ?


When I enter the room, is the entrance silent or announced ? i.e., do others automatically know I'm there, or do I say "Hello World" or something ?


Last newbie pester: The time delays are "interesting" at best. There will be nothing on the screen for quite awhile, then all at once 3.71 bazillion bytes of text go zipping across. Can I change that speed ? Can I get a scroll-back bar ? Do I need to dig up my old Evelyn Wood's Speed-Reading books ?


If these questions are really just a bunch of FAQs, please point me and delete this post.

So.. you're looking for what?

The bottom line is that I have no interest at all in chat buddies or pen-pals. None of that is of interest to me.

You're basically looking to get laid, at least in the tickling sense. You don't walk into a bar and expect that you can just wander off with anyone you choose for the night. And you don't come into a public forum and automatically get a woman interested in you for tickling. This is a public forum, not an escort service. Sorry, but that's how you came across to me in your post.

and Myriads gave you. I also am a fairly new member myself, and you just have to explore and look around, participate with the threads, you read something that might interest you, a member responds to that thread. That is what I did, good luck. I hope that you find what you're looking for.
