Hi everyone, this isn't my first post (I posted on the NEST board a few days ago) but it's close enough so I'll call it my introductory post.

I, like many others, am uncomfortable with and somewhat ashamed of my tickling fetish, but I'm really glad to have found this forum and community of people like me. I would very much like to attend the NEST gathering this year which I was very excited to find out is in my home town of Philadelphia, so hopefully I will get to meet some of you there.

A little background info, I'm a 25 y/o male living in Philadelphia and despite my tickling fetish I have never been seriously tickled or tickled anyone else. I only became aware of my tickle fetish a few years ago when I was watching the Howard Stern show and I saw the episode where Yaqi was on tickling some girls (I'm sure many of you have seen the clip I'm referring to) and I was incredibly turned on by it.

I finally worked up the nerve recently to ask a girl I was seeing to tickle me one time while we were getting intimate and she found it weird and definitely wasn't into it. I was hoping that even if she found it unusual she would at least indulge me, but no luck. So if there are any women in the area looking for a cute, successful tickle partner, send me a message =)

So anyway, I just wanted to officially introduce myself, say hello and thank you to everyone here for making me feel like I'm not a weirdo!

I can not tell you how frustrated I have been over the many years of watching online folks confess their interest in tickling but then never get it together enough to come on out and meet some of us.

So thank you! We want to continue to watch NEST grow every year as more people such as you are going to make that happen!

Based on my own experience (many years ago when I was a neebee to tickling being dragged out to a gathering by Spenser), the folks you find at NEST are some of the warmest and welcoming out there.

You are not weird at all, I felt the same way when i first joined here That's funny about seeing tickling with Yaqi on Howard Stern, that was one of the first times I had a light bulb moment of "wait, other people like this?". Anyway, just wanted to say hello from a Fellow Pa person.
 
Matt, I know how you feel. Until I found this place, I was pretty embarrassed about my fetish as well. Though I still don't share it with people in my personal life, it doesn't feel quite so weird anymore. I'm really grateful for this place, too. So welcome to you, and have a lot of fun here. 🙂
 
I like you already for referencing Seinfeld in your screenname. Mine is a Simpsons reference, although admittedly a pretty obscure one. It doesn't actually describe me at all.

Anyway, congratulations on both delurking Matt and making the decision to start meeting people. I was on this forum about six years before I finally was able to start meeting people and my perspective on tickling and my place in this community totally changed after that.

I'm sorry to hear that your lady friend was not willing to indulge your tickling fetish. Sometimes the trick is in working up to a request like that slowly. Playfully tickle her here and there to make it clear its a fun thing you enjoy and something she just associates with spending time with you. After a while, a request to tickle you during intimate activities might be received better then. Most women in my experience if they really care about you are while willing to do this if it makes their man happy. But not always. I've dated that girl too. Keep on trying though.

As for being embarrassed about ickling, that's something I think that takes some time to get over. Meeting other nice, normal, friendly people that also enjoy tickling goes along way towards that. I used to be terrified people would find out about my interest. Now my feeling is that its really not that big a deal. I don't go around sharing the information because I don't think my friends and family would want to know about my fetishes, but if they asked, I wouldn't be embarrassed to tell them. There is a lot crazier shit that people in this world are into.
