New Website

Hey, Folks--

Just a quick note to let you know that I've got a website of tickling cartoons up at: Gold's Original Fetish Artwork

Right now, the only things in the gallery are the three pics I posted a link to in an earlier thread, but I'll be adding more in a couple of days -- including an F/M gallery, for those so inclined. 🙂 The three there now are all */f. I work with Poser and Photoshop, and I take feedback and requests.

While I look forward to more of your artwork, I don't care for the pornographic advertizement in and around your website. If you can still post the links or upload the pictures themselves here, I know I at least would appriciate that. I don't want to have to navigate a site of porn.

Yeah, the ads bug me, too. Especially the ever-changing animation in the top right corner. It's hypnotic, it's mesmerizing, it's...deeply disturbing on so many different levels. 🙂 I meant to include a warning in my post--managed to forget, in among the other details. The first page will have some white space added to make the bottom ads less obtrusive--it'll take awhile, as Favorite Web Geek is hand-coding the site.

On the other hand, it's the price I pay for free webspace. 🙂

Yeah, its understandable for free web space and its good your doing something to change it. Although were there any other places that aren't porn-like that you could have chosen? Or would that have been inconvienient?

And I hope you don't think that I see this as a bad reflection of you, because I most certainly don't. I just feel its a shame for what looks like an otherwise clean, up and coming artist to be mixed with the likes of porn servers.

Sometimes you have to tolerate it, C_E. Just like cigarette smoke. Cheshire Cat uses the same website server, and personally, I doesn't bother me at all. I have to be honest with you C_E... you really are fussy.

Well I have a ligitamate reason to be with the other thing, but with this, I just personally don't like porn. I like to consider myself a clean, possibly pure individual that doesn't involve himself with such material. It doesn't bother you because you've probably been acustomed to seeing it on sites like these. You seem to forget, I'm still fairly new here. So its a little hard for me to fully adjust to the reality of this place, and accept the good and bad things about it.

While I do find the porn highly irritating, I endure it for the artwork. That is what is important to me. But just know, I won't be visiting your site except on updates. That is just my way of dealing with the porn.

Well, first off: Favorite Web Geek chose the server, not me. However, I agreed with FWG's choice, and here's why: some of my work does involve nudity. Not gratuitous, usually artistic (at least, that's what I attempt), and frequently obscured, but nudity nonetheless. For instance, the young lady in "Ghosts" isn't wearing anything except spectral hands.

Most of the free web hosts out there will shut a site down and delete all of it's files if they discover anything even remotely "fetish" related on the site. Sad to say, there are people in this day and age that would consider Michaelangelo's David to be pornographic, not that I'm comparing myself AT ALL with him, mind. It's a sad but true fact. And, unfortunately, the price I have to pay for a "free" host that doesn't mind some nudity and some kink, is those rather obtrusive advertisements. I'm not thrilled with it myself---and if anyone can suggest an alternative, I'll cheerfully look into moving the site.

In the meantime, I'll be posting all updates in the "Gold's Cartoons" folder on the photo section of Lone Star Tickling, until they tell me to cut it out. I'll also try to post them here (I may be computer literate, but I'm having a little trouble with the "image" command on the forum), and as the collection gets bigger, I'll be separating it out into clearly labelled galleries so that folks know what they're getting when they click on the link.

Believe me, I understand. It's disconcerting to hit your own website and have to cover your eyes and yell, "Gah!" at the activity at the top. I understand that some folks here don't much want to see porno, and I can sympathize.

In the meantime, I'm also willing to email individual pics, by request, and I don't mind if you download the pictures to your hard drive for personal use (if you want to repost them somewhere, please ask first, but I doubt I'll say no).

I'm mainly in one of those, "rock and a hard place" type deals---but in the meantime, I know for a fact that CyberSitter and NetNanny are blocking my site, which is a definite count in the adult server's favor.

Ah, well, hope I've covered everything.
