He's very overrated. So many people like him, and I think half of them only like him because he's popular with everyone else, and they think it's COOL to like him, which it isn't, because if you like something just for the sake of liking it because everybody else likes it you can hardly call that COOL CAN YOU!? And besides, at the end of the day, it's just another Nickelodeon cartoon. Doug was much better. His stories were funny and he had all those crazy friends and the cool theme music. And then there was that whole debate about Skeeter and whether he was supposed to be black or just a wigger. They coloured him blue, what kind of a hint is that? It was the MC Hammer trousers that eventually gave him away, though, so I think he was really meant to be black. That show was very big on promoting cultural diversity amongst kids, like most shows are. Even the ones that used to get banned in schools like Power Rangers always had the bad guys getting it from every direction and getting lectured at the end by the hero, although the Japanese version of Power Rangers was surprisingly raunchy, oddly enough - I guess it's because it had a larger adult following out there. But yeah, Spongebob sucks.
