Vince going to shut down ecw for good and start some new show. Is it wrestling?is it a new sports franchise?

do we need another xfl:disgust:

I seriously doubt anything more then a revamp is going to happen. Pretty much just no longer calling it ECW.

It's called WWE NXT. Supposedly, it is to be a show specifically for the "next generation" of wrestlers (aka the guys in developmental who may or may not be remotely ready). Sounds like it'll be a minor league operation for the most part, which frankly does not inspire much faith. On the bright side, this means veterans the like of Christian and William Regal can finally be moved to the Raw or Smackdown brands, where they belong.

Details Behind The Concept of WWE's "NXT" Show Revealed

PWInsider.com is reporting that the new WWE NXT show will be reality based, as the SyFy network has been wanting WWE to do something along these lines for awhile now.

The show will reportedly be a mix of on-air feuds and reality based TV where the viewers can actually follow the wrestlers outside of the ring as well. The viewers will be following the wrestlers from day one, and they will get to know who they actually are, as they fight to become the next big WWE star and hopefully get moved to either the Raw or Smackdown brand.

It should be noted that WWE has been pitching ideas for the new show since the fall of '09, and although there can certainly be aspects of the show different from what we're reporting now, the base idea for the show seems to be that it will be reality based and focus entirely on new talent.

That sounds kinda neat, but I just follow the talent on Twitter to see what they're like outside the ring. Hornswoggle apparently likes listening to Taylor Swift, and can beat Kofi Kingston's ass at Call of Duty. Vince didn't need to blow money on a new show! 😀 Oh well. I'll probably watch it anyway!

I have to admit, that doesn't sound too bad. From early reports, I was worried that NXT may actually fare worse than ECW ever did. Still might, but at least it doesn't sound like it's going to equate to Sunday Night Heat.

so...back to tough enough?

Only in the sense that you'd see them in training, I suppose. Remember, Tough Enough winners were guaranteed a WWE contract. I sincerely doubt that will be the case with these guys. There will likely be a number of them that do not make it.

Just when you think you've seen it all... At least the talent will be spread over Raw and Smackdown which will inspire new feuds and rivalries. You can only stomach Cena, HHH and RKO in the main event for so long.

I so agree with the above statement. Redundant much😀

Actually I thought tough enough started out pretty good. half male half female and 1 of each would win. Where Tough Enough lost it's cred was when Alanna and Nydia won the same year, and none of the men did. If it's supposed to be one of each then it should have been one of each. Then of course came the year when they stopped putting women on Tough Enough all together and started doing that stupid Diva Search. Don't get me wrong, I loved Christy Hemme, she was great, but it was still a dumb idea.

That's just the problem. These guys will be built up just to give Cena, Taker, and DX somebody knew to beat. The WWE is going to be in real trouble in afew years if they don't build some new superstars and have them beating the above mention guys. Well Cena is still pretty young, but Taker & DX have got to start putting guy over and in a big way.

PFFT don't count on Triple H putting anybody over anytime soon . He is the main reason why there is no new talent . His ego and the fact that he fucks the bosses daughter *who happens to be the head of the creative team* .

The only reason Shemaus got the push he did is because hes workout pals with Triple H and Trips knows that when the time comes fo rhim to tell shemaus to lay down and job to him he will no questions asked.

Is it just me or does he look alot like Test? It would be funny if Shemaus decided to accidently kick him in the knee... wouldn't it?

And for those who think I don't know... I know Andrew "test" Martin is no longer among the living. But man do they look alot alike.

Then that assclown John Morrison must've sold a LOT of merch.

I wouldn't be surprised. Ol' Johnny Nitro is a good working. I picked up a 2nd hand SDvsRAW 2009, and he (with the Miz) cracked me up.

-Justin Angel
-Skip Sheffield

-Michael Tarver

I'm hoping that this show is better than ECW. I like that their going strictly with developmental talent. They should've never attempted anything with the ECW name.
