Anyone doing any resolutions for the new year?

Mine is to stop smoking before I really get hooked on them. I smoke cigars (a pack a month). I sometime bum one off the guys at work. I just need to stop smoking.

I generally don't bother with them either. But, I always have goals for myself. I guess I could say they're resolutions. 😉 What are they? Where do I start? Finish the cellar walls...tickle Drew more....finish my book...let Drew tickle me more....continue losing weight...tickle Drew more....get in shape...let Drew tickle me more....find a decent doctor...tickle..... Well, you get the idea. 😛

im not quite ready to quit smoking. i love it too much, but im gonna cut down considerably!

i guess an actual sensible resolution would to be more sensible with my cash. i get a student loan right now, and most of it is spent on cigarettes and clothes. Really must learn to save!

Hmm.

1: Find true love, not a girl for sex or tickling [though would be a miracle], but true love.
2: Spend more time with family. They gave me this life, and now I'm just acting like another careless 18 year old. Boo me.
3: Smoke less- nuff said.

eat less....or eat more sensibly is probably a better way to put it.

try to roll better with the punches instead of wanting to scream everytime something changes(i don't do well with change).

to drink less Pepsi...that will be the hardest one🙁

Resolutions are made to be broken but I always try to start out every year with a list of things that make my life more positive. Here are a few of those that might help you as well.

1. Be a more consciously spiritual person (in the very end, that's what matters)

2. Be a better friend (when you need someone there for you to help or just listen, friends remember how you've helped them, and it is also a great reward knowing you've tried to help make someone else's life happier. This also includes things such as donating to the needy or giving blood)

3. Take better care of myself (I do alright on this one... in the past couple of years I've lost over 75 lbs, and am at a good weight now, but there are always better ways to take care of your heart and your mind)

4. Spend less time talking and more time listening (for those who know me well, I'm a talker, have been since I learned how)

5. Get closer to my family (always been a struggle for me, I know it's important to not give up on this one)

6. Learn how to "just be me" without being an extension of another person

7. Hang on to the inner "sex kitten" because she is strong and can get through anything 😀

I know this is a bit lengthy and I hope you don't mind...

But I never do it via New Years resolution because I think one should resolve edvery day of the year.

Well, mine are intended as ongoing improvement of the soul, heart and mind... all year round, that's why I don't really define them as New Year's resolutions... we all should work on being better people year round.

I agree. Whereas everyone else is waiting till the new year to start their "getting in shape" programs, I beat them all to the punch two months ago.

Already did it actually.....

With the assistance of Welbutrin XL I was aiming to start Janurary 1st but I started earlier and not really by choice. It got to the point where I just could not stand it anymore and it repulsed me to the point that it almost made me sick.
I stopped smoking, New Years Eve will mark 6 weeks without one and moreso without even a desire FOR one.

Probably my greatest personal accomplishment.

I dropped New Years resolutions years ago. They represent promises made and never kept. I already accomplished one goal by getting my Bachelors degree this year. Hey, it only took about twenty years, but who's counting?😛 😛 I've began to address the weight issue in late August/early September. I've lost 45lbs to date with a whole lot to go. I would've lost more, but let's just say I've indulged in a little too much holiday cheer! The good news is I haven't gained, but unfortunately, I haven't lost nearly as much as I could have if I stayed on track. So, goals for 2005 are as follows:

Lose lots more weight!
Stop partying and get more serious about losing weight!
Get to know myself better and not feel guilty about taking care of myself and putting me first.
Get back to my spiritual roots
Deal with issues that have kept me from being more open to people (men/dating in specific)
Let my children go to make their own way in life and be there when they mess up because they will.
FIND A REAL JOB!!!!!!!

That about covers it! BTW, all you heath-consious folks on the TMF are more than welcome to make suggestions. There are so many plans to follow: Atkins, South Beach, low-carb, low-fat, etc....The list is mind boggling. Anyone who has lost over 50 pounds, I DESPARATELY WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR FOLKS!!!!!!!! :jester: :jester: :tickle: :feets:

Well, like Neutron, it is hard to improve on perfection, but here goes:

1)to get down to my ideal weight of 208, I am 245 right now
2)to resist the need to tickle my wife silly every day
3)to become an even better dad to my twins
4)resist the urge to throw objects at my TV everytime the Cubs screw up
5)to one day come out to Northern California and tickle steph silly
6)to not torture my sister to death when my Pop-Tarts are stolen

and I fully intend to make #5 a reality😀

well in 2004 I lost 45 lbs, now in 2005 I will take off the last 10lbs and start a personal fitness program to tone up and get my self into physical shape. I plan to be a lean mean tickle machine!

I resolved when I was 17...

...to never do New Year's Resolutions. Too many people make them and don't follow through with them.

And so far, I've kept my resolution! Imagine! 🙄

Let's See...

My Resolutions are as follows:

1) Get a little harder & leaner
2) Get our graphic arts studio off the ground
3) Meeting someone who's 'on the same page'
4) help my dog get well & end the seizures
5) Get back to the TAO & listen to the ZEN voice in my head
6) Listen More / talk less
7) Spend more time w/ Ma...she's 82 today
&
8) Resist & eventualy discard the urge to choke the livin' daylights out of the dough-heads, doorknobs, hocky-pucks & dim-bulbs who CLAIM to be my co-workers

(Re-reads list)
JEZZZZZZZZZZ, this is a carbon copy of last year!!!
