Some thoughts on the young season.

The Falcons-Eagles game was unwatchable. Didn't take long for me to lose interest.

I"m convinced Tyreek Hill is from another dimension. Pat Mahomes looked near unflappable for a QB making his second NFL start. In my opinion they need to get Kareem Hunt outside the tackles more often. 69 yards on 16 carries won't get it done.

Could the Bills be the new Cleveland Browns?

Speaking of the Browns, their 21-21 tie with the Steelers is the first tie in week one since 1971.

I wonder if the Cowboys have Dez Bryant on speed dial.

I'm so glad Khalil Mack is now in the NFC.

Who would have thought Tampa Bay, led by a 15 year journeyman QB would march into New Orleans and hang 48 points on the Saints.

Congratulations to Adrian Peterson, who moved into 9th place in NFL history with 100 rushing touchdowns.

Week 1 takeaways

Patrick Mahomes-Tyreek Hill combo could be a force to reckon with this season

I think Jon Gruden and Oakland are going to regret losing Khalil Mack

The Rams were solid this week

The Jets have found a gem in Sam Darnold

Yes, the Falcons-Eagles game was a bad start to the NFL season

Cleveland can't go 0-16 this year

Pittsburgh looked pitiful, but the Browns should have won that game forcing 6 turnovers

Surprised me to see Aaron Rodgers back for the second half

Was Tampa Bay-New Orleans an Arena League game?

The Cowboys are going to miss both Jason Witten and Dez Bryant

Sam Darnold was something else. First career pass was a Pick 6. Then he led the offense to 48 points. Oddly enough his performance was matched by Ryan Fitzpatrick who threw 4 TD's for 417 yards for Tampa Bay (and rushed for another.)

By the end of the season Gruden may be wishing he had stayed in the booth.

Sam Darnold was something else. First career pass was a Pick 6. Then he led the offense to 48 points.

After that pathetic display I wonder if Matt Patricia is wishing he had stayed in New England.

Sam Darnold's first NFL pass was a pick 6. Kind of mirrors a quarterback out of Southern Miss who's first NFL pass was a pick 6. But Brett Favre's career turned out pretty good, so maybe Darnold's will too.
