OK I can understand the other ones you mentioned but "The Shawshank Redemption"!!! That is my favorite movie but it made you cry!
WOW...what part, the end or a specific point...just wondering really.

The very end where they see each other again. Gets me every time. And don't even mention Charlotte's Web, I can't believe I forgot it on my list-it's another one I won't let them watch while I'm home :cry1:

I've managed to avoid Old Yeller all my life, my friends tell me it'll wreck me. Same for Amistad.

Bella

PS the end of E.T. and the part in Ghost where he dies while she's holding him. I'm such a girl! 🙄

Proud moments? Tears ran down my face when Whitney Houston sang "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl.

Yeah, i feel ya there..i get all pumped up with emotions when that is played..especially if there is a fly over by the airforce involved..we had a football game, that friday nite after 9-11, both team bands played "The Star Spangled Banner"..we then had a "fly over" actually troop transports went over on their way south..talk about being pumped up..kickoff came...i went down field..busted up the wedge..busted up the returner too( with the "headhunter")! i got up..spun around faced the flag and screamed! LOL..oh the days..how they are gone.

Well, I think I'm either an emotional basketcase, or just a complete watering pot (aka I cry easily). While a few got the "pride tears" at Spiderman 2, I got the "pride tears" at the darn Previews!!

Actual movies:
Anne of Green Gables-for those of you who know, the part where Mathew dies
Anne of Green Gables: The Continuing Story-when Anne sees Gilbert right after the war
Titanic-every time
Sense & Sensibility-when Elinor cries
Emma-when Knightley proposes
All three Lord of the Rings movies
Most Disney movies
Signs-where the boy almost dies and the end

MAN! Just name any movie that has drama in it, or is a "chick flick," and chances are I may have cried. ::sigh:: 🙄 I am such a girl.

Toodles!:wavingguy
Prinny

I can't believe I forgot to metion ET.It gets me every damn time.

Renaissance Man...

...the almost-to-the-last scene, during the graduation ceremony (don't want to give anything away for those who haven't seen it yet). Even though I've watched the movie several times, I still cry every time I see it!

Now don't laugh at me...it was the final scene of COUNT CRAPULA -VS- METAMUCIL MAN. What did Count Crapula ever do to deserve that? I mean was he harming anyone? No! He was soaked up by all that fiber. Why did the world have to tear ascunder someone who was such a tragic figure. He was doing nothing wrong. He and his good pals the Hemmorhoid Boys were just innocently hanging around the bowl. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! SSSSSTTEEELLLLLAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also cried at the end of BAMBI MEETS GODZILLA. GOOOOOHOOOOHOOOOOHOOOODDDDDD DDDDAAAAMMMMIIITTTTTT!!!!!!! WWWHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!

Mimi is going to whap me anytime now.

(LOL) I forgot about the most recent~Butterfly Effect, director's cut.

XOXO

I just saw that movie,The Butterfly Effect, and I have to agree with you, it was sad! That poor guy just couldn't get it right.

I also want to add to my crying list...The Passion of Christ.

The end scene from Ghost used to make me squeeze out a few when I was a teenager.

Rambo's speech to Trautman about how he was treated by the public when he got home from Vietnam always does it.

The part from The Green Mile when John Coffey tells Paul Edgecombe why he wants to die. Actually get into the chair room and I can't sucking fee at all.

And most episodes of Jerry Springer make me cry too. They're not sad, they just make me cry. Pucking feople!🙄

Re: Re: Holy crap!

Ya, amazing huh? I was warned not to see it originally, I'm glad I did though. Took friends about 10 mins to calm me down afterwards.

One more to add to the list~Regarding Henry.
XOXO

Technically it isn't a movie....

But 3 episodes of Raw/Smackdown got me tearing up and bawling really badly....

The first was the 5/24/99 edition of Raw-The Owen Hart Tribute. Damnit, I miss that man. :sowrong:

The second was the 9/13/01 edition of Smackdown, where Lillian Garcia sang the National Anthem, 2 days after 9/11....in an interesting sidenote, noone in the media credited the WWF with this, but when Shrub said to start attending sports gatherings and such following 9/11, WWF was the FIRST such gathering of people after the disaster, with this episode of Smackdown live.

The third is the year-end wrap up Raw from last December...they showed all the wrestlers who had died in 2003, and all this to the song "My Immortal"...I lost it when they showed Liz...

:dropatear

But I digress.....🙂

Right before Summerslam 93 some dude in a cowboy hat and gold earrings sang the anthem. Vince, doing commentary, gave it his usual "the most stirring rendition of our national anthem ever heard!" smeg, but I was virtually in tears of laughter. This black singer guy was built not unlike some of the wrestlers, but he squeaked and squealed his way through the song like someone had his nuts in a clamp. I've never heard anything so bad in my entire life.

OMG I forgot about The Green Mile. I sob uncontrollably whenever I watch that movie. And not just when justice is paid, but also again at the end, when you're brought back to present. I can easily go through two boxes of kleenex by myself when that movie is on.

Now behave, Boobsy! 😡

If anyone doesn't cry when they see "Brian's Song", the original with James Caan and Billy Dee Williams, I'd question whether you've really got a heart inside your chest.

Love Story with Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw. The first time I saw that movie, I couldn't stop crying for about 10 mins. Others that come to mind are Terms of Endearment, Beaches, and Steal Magnolias

Title: ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK CITY

Plot: Never could really figure it out

Theme: First movie ever without one

Result: Viewer feels such loss over spending money on the ticket that he cries.

More Crying: Producers and actors when they saw the thing at screenings, and also when they heard audiences groaning, and grown people and married couples turning to making out litke teenagers again to pass the time until "THE END" appears on the screen (which is the only time audiences would ever cheer for this movie)

there were a few that i cried when i watched:

Charlotte's Web

Where the Red Fern Grows

Schindler's List🙁

that's all i can remember at the moment, i'll add to it when i can remember more.

Oh God, Red Fern destroys me too. :cry1: I am a HUUUUUUUUUUUGE dog lover and it breaks my heart every time I see it, so I avoid it like the plague. Someone singing Old Shep does the same thing.

Timothy Hutton's character breaking down when hearing news his friend committed suicide and he let's it all out in the pyschiatrist's office.("Ordinary People" [1980]).

The end of "Ghost" (seeing Demi cry - always liked her with short hair!)

...to name a few! Probably could think of others..eventually!

Terms of Endearment, at the end when Debra Winger dies after living a shitty life before. Actually when you think about it, she is being spared any more misery that lies ahead. Nonetheless, it's still sad, especially since her kids were losing the most stable thing in their life.

Another one I forgot to mention

Forest Gump, Farenheit 9/11, pay it forward, and Spider-Man 2.
