Olsen Twin Countdown

I have written a fiction story about the Olsen twins, which takes place from March to June of 2005. When they turn 18 on June 13, 2004, I will post the story in my subforum, with a link from the Post Stories forum. 😀

I'm over 35 to man. I'm 43, but unlike many I'm not carrying around spank bank fantasies about two over made up never will be twins. AND I happen to place talent and substance over just about anything!

I agree with your sentiment Neutron. While I am considerably younger than you or red indian, I share this ideal as you do.

What attracts me to a famous woman is her natural talent and her skills, her capacities as a performer, her originality, and the fact that she's all natural or 'real' as it were.

These twins are just teeny boppers who have been done up to look like something they are not.

I'm really attracted to Andrea Corr, of the irish family band " The Corrs" for the above named reasons. And Andrea is in her early 30s now, yet doesn't look a day over 21 or so. She's an all natural beauty with her own natural gifts and talents and mastered skills, that doesn't need a gimmick or facade, nor a ton of makeup. She can be sexy and desirable by just being herself. She doesn't have to act or look sexy to be sexy. She and her sisters and their brother Jim, are class acts all the way yet are simple enough to have things in common with the average person. They are average people.

These twins are being made to be extraordinary, when I don't think thats even possible for them.

There are plenty more examples that I'm sure we could all use.

That is why i think its so sad that we as Americans worship and look up to Celebs. and that we wanna try to look like Celebs by changing this body part on us or this and that to look just like our Favorite Celebs to get more Attention or to get into the Hollywood buiness. we look up to some of them like thier Gods like there so perfect and that they can do no wrong and no harm at all. But that is not the case one bit at all. Celebs are not perfect nor are we.

Kate Winslet..

Did a photo layout for a magazine. They air brushed the photos (which REALLY pissed her off, and WHY the hell would anyone airbrush someone as utterly gorgeous as Kate Winslet?). Anyways, a fan wanted to look just like her, so they took her pictures from that shoot and had tons of surgery done so she'd look like Kate.
Kate was horrified because A: The person used someone elses ideal on how she should like as a model for her surgery.

and B: Kate feels women should be happy to look just how they are.

I LOVE them too. They are very beautiful women (Jim's pretty handsome himself), all natural, and just..well...really good people. They haven't been corupted by the Hollywood appeal like so many have. But then again, they don't do most of their work in the U.S. or through the U.S.

I have all of their cds and two of their music videos. My still favorite of all the albums so far is their original debut album "Forgiven Not Forgotten". They put alot more of their irish celtic roots into that one. You can feel it in the music and well as hear it. Its still there now though. Coincidentally, that I bring it up and you reply, the Corrs new album just hit stores today. Check it out! ^__^

Yeah, thats pretty shocking. If I was a celebrity I wouldn't want someone parading around looking like me. Now if its just a big coincidence they bear a resemblance to me, I guess that can't be helped. I guess it really depends on what they are trying to do by having your image.

You're welcome steph ^__^. And the album is called "Borrowed Heaven" by the way. I saw it in the Circuit City and Best Buy ads on Sunday, for $11.99. It might be one of those first day specials where new cds are on sale. You can probably find it at your local Wal-Mart or Target, or what have you though. If the price is going to stay the same, then it doesn't matter where you buy it unless you have some kind of club card where you get points for purchases.

And thank YOU for that interesting fact. I didn't know that. ^__^

And yes, he is rather handsome. He's got a natural rugged handsome look that most Holywood folk have to pay for. He looks amazing for his age.

What a family indeed. Its like that Corr family is blessed with immortality or something. All of them look very youthful for their ages. The only one who shows her age is Sharon, and thats probably only because she smokes, since smoking can give you racoon eyes. She has slight racoons eyes, but even they make her look attractive in her own way.

Whose your favorite Corr? Mine used to be Sharon because she's the eldest of the sisters and has that cute 'big sister' quality. She's also the most wild one. And she plays the violin, like I used to.

But now, I'm not so sure. Lately I've been smitten by Andrea's charm and energy. She's always dancing around on stage and what not. She does it so much that she actually doesn't wear her shoes on stage. She goes barefoot so she doesn't trip or something. And its probably more comfortable that way.

I like Caroline's stoicness. She's the reserved one. She doesn't talk much unless she's spoken to or has something to say. She has a baby, did you know that? And Sharon is married. ^__^

As for Jim, he's the joker of the four. And of course, the band wouldn't be anywhere without his skills with different instruements. All of them know how to play the piano in addition to their respective instrument, but Jim is pretty universal when it comes to instruments. Also, while he sort of takes a backseat to his sisters, he's the one at the helm.

Anyways, enough ranty ranting. LOL ^__^


I don't have anything against the Olsen twins, I just think they are getting ahead of themselves too prematurelly. I would be lying if I said I wasn't biased. But it really is their looks and their newfound attitudes that make me wary of them. They don't look the age they are trying to be, and dressing like that doesn't help me accept them any more than when they didn't. And again, the makeup is just TOO much. They look like little floosies some times. I'm sure thats not the image they want, but either they are misguided or someone is pushing this look on them. Either way, I'm indifferent toward them in an acting or celebrity capacity.

Amen and I agree with you 100%. We need to quit placing celebrities on a pedestal as if they were some grand and mighty deity who should be worshipped and adored.
