One Of You Favorite Smells or Scents

Cool thread, this.

For me, in no particular order....

A pipe of my Ramsgate tobacco; the wild white roses my florist is able to get hold of on a good week; chicken marsala reducing; a steaming Bishop's Bowl of punch (the smell of Christmas for me); newly tanned leather; one of my older cabernet sauvignons, after it's breathed awhile; simmering plum preserves from the lodge about 2 hours from my house; a freshly showered woman wearing dots of real vanilla in all the right places; that same woman, about 2 hours later; hot buttered popcorn; the incense of the church on Good Friday; the thick honeysuckle that grows wild all along the border of the woods that front my house....

Scientists have said that no other single stimulus evokes as many memories as does a scent remembered. 🙄
 
I build outdoor decks occasionally, and I love the smell of cedar wood after its been cut.
 
Coffee, right when the can is opened and while it's brewing.

Real cinnamon sticks, especially when they're brewing with my coffee. (I just gave away a favorite 'morning after' secret.)

Real Christmas trees.

And a tortilla burning on the stovetop reminds me of my mom!

I love the smell of Napalm in the morning, the smell of victory.
 
"Warm Vanilla Sugar" from Bath and Body Works. It always reminds me of someone. 🙂

Fresh cut Grass...Spring.....Lasagna baking in the kitchen
 
Lilacs, fresh cut grass, baking sugar cookies, babies, and this might be weird, but puppy breath.. i love when a puppy tries to lick your face.. they are soo sweet, unconditional love, and old spice... it reminds me of my daddy..

Aaaaah, I'd forgotten about that; the smell of coffee upon waking is such a lovely pickmeup. I don't actually like coffee either, it's just that delicious scent it gives off.
 
I love the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. Mmmm....makes my mouth water.
 
Do y'all know that the olfactory center in the brain can produce the strongest recall of all the senses ? A scent from decades ago can place you instantly and insistently at the scene with the finest of detail. Amazing.

For me, it's the scent of burning mattresses.

Yes I'm fine, thanks, I had a unique childhood.

I also like the scent of vanilla.

If a women's feet are clean, and recently massaged with a fragrant baby lotion, the feel and aroma after removing her socks absolutely makes me crazy...... 🙄


as crazy as I am, that fragrance makes me crazier........ 😛

My boyfriends pillow or work shirt..... When he isnt home i snuggle into his pillow cause it just smells sooooo good! His work shirts are usually sweaty so im not sure WHY i like them but I do hehe PS-where did this spell check come from? i loving it!
