I'll echo that. People who form exclusive cliques are usually dicks with very little self-esteem and are looking to make themselves feel good. That's all inventing clubs and cliques is about. There's no need to belong to one to be a worthwhile person or to be able to achieve something.
Here on the TMF the rank or level someone reaches is nothing more than a fun way that was designed to get people to post more often. It's an anachronism really, left over from the times when the original founder was trying to get the community going. Now with thousands of members and hundreds of thousands of threads, it's largely meaningless. With the advent of the Humour Forum anyone can become a Feather holder inside of a fortnight.
So screw the ones who think they're superior love, and forget they ever existed. You don't need them and their pettiness any more than you need their vitriol.
Thanks for the support. I appriciate the retrospect and personal opinion.

Really, its true. These self-appointed cliques are made up of people ,who alone, are nothing. They only become a blip on the radar when they are part of a group.
I'm proud of the fact that I have not given in to becoming part of a clique. I work alone, and I take the downsides and pluses that come along with that. I don't secretly ask for people's help when I'm in a tough spot, and I don't beg or plead for attention. I get that naturally as these cliques can't help but let their over zealousness get the better of them. Really now, they feel powerful because they have weight of numbers. They attack like vultures when they THINK you are somehow wounded during their 2 on 1, 3 on 1, 4, 5, 6, whatever on 1! They know damn well alone they are nothing and their little punk asses can't talk worth a damn to defend themselves. Does that make me pompous and arrogant? Hell no! It makes them weak-willed and pitiful! They've got to have their little friends for help and support. They know they can't do it alone. They know the likes of me will chew them up and spit them out if they cross me repeatedly.
If this were a fight I'd kick their collective asses and they would be whiter than ghosts and would back the hell off. But they don't because they have support. Whats so sad about this is they get this support whether they are right or wrong or deserve this support or not. People are willing to fight for a belief that is or will ultimately be proven wrong even if its obvious. Its so easy to do, and getting to ridiculous posting levels is easy to do as well. People are proud of how many posts they have. Like its some kind of badge of honor. Oh please!
It doesn't matter a damn to me whether I have 1 post or 1 million posts, I am no the more intellegent, sophisticated or swave because of it. Though I'm sure some people think they are (not here necessarily, but anywhere). Some people just want to hear themselves speak, or type, in this case.
Thank God for some common sense in that you don't need to belong to belong. If that makes sense. LOL
😀
(Yes, I realize this may seem hypocrital people, but I can't help but respond to Big Jim, as surely he not only sees this as I do, but he knows what the hell I'm talking about!)
