I managed to evoke a safe word the other day from a particularly responsive 'lee. She loves the tickling, but she said that she was seeing spots and going lightheaded like she was about to pass out. Is this possible? Has anybody seen this or experienced it?

Very possible. It does happen. Some folks even like to be taken to that extreme, though most do not. Your 'lee's mileage may vary. Check with her and what she wants, and as always, be careful and observant, especially if she wants you to take things that far.

Sometimes one can love it too much. Passing out though is no fun.
I should know, I've been signed off work for the last three months because of fainting!
Thing is, I would probably love to take it that far as a ticklee at least once!

Of course that's possible, when you are breathing too hard, getting too much - or not enough - oxygene. It didn't happen to me during tickling, but I once passed out before choir when we did breathing exercises. That was embarrassing! 🙂
Sounds hawt. Also a great way to fall asleep if you're an insomniac.

Of course it's possible. Tickling involves laughter. Laughter involves breathing. If someone laughs so hard and so long that they can't breathe properly, they experience all the symptoms of hypoxia - a sense of being lightheaded, flashing lights or spots in the field of vision, hyperventilation, and eventually unconsciousness.

I have felt light-headed and close to passing out when being tickled but never actually passed out. 😀

Yea, be careful with that. You pass out from the lack of oxygen. Sadly, this oxygen thingy that seems so important to you not passing out is also kind of important in our ability to speak... ya know, to use the safeword? I've run into this problem before. A girl I was dating a few years ago used to let me tie her up and tickle her. Luckily I realized it early but she was well on her way to passing out because she didn't have the bodily control or lung power to say her safe word. We took up 3 taps (like you see in martial arts. Tap 3 times for submission) AND a safe word to make sure that wouldn't happen again.
