The Central Pennsylvania Region is experiencing some severe flooding at the moment. It will rank as the 3rd worse flood we have had in this area since Hurricane Agnes in 1972.

The Susquehanna River will crest over 28 feet. The Governor has vacated the mansion in Harrisburg as Governor Shapp did in 1972.

I-81 is closed north of Harrisburg. The Clarks Ferry Bridge (Route 322) is closed.

Everybody Stay Safe!

Hey Flew over surveying looks like the water is spreading out. But it all got to go some were stay safe and look for me in the skys!

Stay safe all you good people of PA!

I am high and dry but over 100,00 people are in shelters in three states.

I had heard that Wilked Barre area got hit hard. 🙁

Yes, anytime they send Jim Cantore or The Weather Channel and Sam Champion of Good Morning America, to the scene you know things are bad in that area.

Are you a helicopter pilot by chance? The local TV Station hired a helicopter to show aerial views of the flood.

Just got back from Wilkes Barre, pretty nuts, and I'm a Carolina boy, used to flooding..
..even by our standards, they got hit hard up here..

This has been horrible. My roof is leaking big time, I hope this ends soon.

Wilkes-Barre has set the record passing the flood stage of Hurricane Agnes of 1972.

Sounds like you're going to need some major roof repairs. A couple of contractors posted in the local news that storms like this bring out major problems in roofs.

BTW: The sun is out and the Susquehanna River has crested in Harrisburg. Now for the big clean up, I saw where people had an inch of mud or more in their house to shovel out after the water is drained.

So let me see if I got this straight. First you guys get a 5.8 earthquake. Then, within a week, Hurricane Irene. Then after another week, torrential rains and flooding from Tropical Storm Lee?

When it rains, it pours. Here's hoping mother nature's wrath is directed elsewhere. Iran, perhaps?

Yes I am. I fly for the Government. My Videos were used by the associated press.

My area got hosed pretty badly, but I understand it was much worse downstream, pretty much all the way to the Susquehanna's outlet at Chesapeake Bay..

I've never seen this region get hit with double-header hurricanes. Hope all PA ticklephiles stayed safe.

Yes I am tired of people saying that Irene was not that bad. What people miss is the side damage. Today after landing a guy was talking to me saying the damage is a government conspiricy. It looks like it falls off the news for a few days and then the flooding is over? haha oh well just venting.
