Creepy, but I've heard worse. Although I'm positive you know exactly what everyones opinion is going to be, leading me to wonder why you're asking...
It's totally normal to enjoy tickling, especially from someone you love. But there's a difference between liking it, and getting aroused by it - that's kinda sketchy territory. Is it arousing to you or does it just feel good?

Tickling between a mother and child is usually just innocent and loving, and it can be really good for people with nerve damage. I have a friend who hit his head really badly when we were in high school and he lost his sense of smell, and has some other brain damage - nothing you'd be able to tell from looking at/talking to him, it's mostly sensory things. He's told me numerous times that the way I tickle his back and arms feels amazing and that it helps him, he's also mentioned it'd be really good therapy for people who have sensory problems.
So it makes sense that the tickling would feel good. She loves you, you're her child, and she wants you to feel good. =]

Well, he doesn't have to go into any details. I'd like to think the general idea of "Hey, you tickling me makes me uncomfortable," would be enough to convince a family member to stop.

Well, if you like it, do it. Nothing bad is going to happen from enjoying tickling, even if it is sexually arousing.
If you feel uncomfortable, then stop. But if you do not feel uncomfortable, then you do not need to stop it. If you enjoy it, it does not matter what the people here think, just do it and enjoy life.
Most of the people here, that feel tickling is very sexual, have had tickling experiences with their family... SO it is not weird. Many guys that do not dare to tell someone about the fetish, can enjoy tickling only when some family member play.
Maybe you would be better with a girlfriend tickling you; but if you do not have one now, there is not really a problem with continuing enjoying tickling by your family.

So, let's suppose you are in University, and you have a class partner that is a very attractive person, and everytime that person get close to you, you feel sexual excitation, just for being close. That person probably will not have idea that you are feeling that way with those situations. And you simply do not want to tell, as, that person has a relation with someone else. So, everything you have is to enjoy the presence of the attractive person.
Is that weird? Not even in a statistical way it is rare. There are a lot of things from which people get delight, without telling. TV shows, ads on the street, people walking on the street, people doing certain things, certain objects, etcetera.
Many people with foot fetish could feel some excitation when someone is barefoot or with certain shoes that expose at certain positions the soles. And they do not need to tell that... "Hey dude, I am getting high because of your flip flops".
Even most men will feel excitation from looking a woman with mini skirt, which seems to be popular now. But, ironically, most women will feel uncomfortable if those men make them know that they are exciting them. Although it is the most obvious thing.
It is one thing if you get sexually excited by seeing someone, but it's a whole different thing if you actively do something, like tickling them, touching them, pressing against them in a bus etc., etc.
How would you feel for example if you found out that your uncle who you rode with in a crowded train every day got off from pressing against you in that train? You wouldn't think that's at least a little bit weird? Would you just shrug that off?

You know, but what I say is, that they make you know that. I mean, approaching on you an saying "you make me feel excited with that shirt". Which would be similar as approaching to a familiar and saying "you make me feel excited when you tickle me".

The best way to do this is to say it politically correct. I agree to just say "Tickling me makes me uncomfortable." To be aroused by being tickled by your mom is probably your brain saying that you like being tickled in general. However, to be turned on by your mother and want to be aroused by her tickling you is not normal. It's like the Oedipus syndrome but for tickling. XD
Is there something your mom does at the times that its arousing versus the times you're able to just have fun and feel good? It sounds like you enjoy it.. I just wonder if there's a trigger for when that happens or if it's just random. Just trying to think of ways you can still have that bonding with her without it causing arousal.
Well, nobody says he should tell his mom it excites him. All he wanted to know is if we think it's weird. And I personally think it's weird. It would creep me the hell out if I got aroused by something my father did to me! Yuck!
