please pray for my dads close friend

My Dad is friends with this older gentlemen that goes to our small Church. But the older gentlemen's son is in State Prison right now for 7 or more years for a Sniper Case that he was found guilty of for Killing a person here in our town and involved in. So just keep the older gentlmen's older son (who is the same age as me 20 years old 🙁) and my Dad (who he is real close friends with this older gentlemen) in your prayers.

Hopefully he will be eligible for parole sooner than the seven years he has to serve. I'll keep him in my thoughts as well.

I will add them both to my prayer list. There are good people here, and even if they don't reply, they will still pray. They did for me, and I'm only too happy to return the favor.

I can't help but notice that some of the same people who spoke up in outrage about a man arrested for licking a girl's toes in a library, or a store owner who was assaulted while chasing some kids who robbed his store, are praying for a guy convicted in a sniper case and expressing support that he might get parolled before his brief sentence runs out.

Seems a rather reaction to me, I'm mightily confused. Or did I misread something?

BMD, I'll pray (at least, my equivalent thereof) for you, and your father, and this older gentleman, but... maybe it's wrong of me, but I've got no positive energy to spare for a murdering sniper right now. I have too many good, kind friends who've gone through having one of those maniacs loose in their town to have any sympathy for them, and I've spent a lot of sleepless days worrying about them. There are better ways to make money, express your anger, or do whatever it is that you hope to do via going sniper.
