Possibly the end of tk artwork

The weird part is, I really couldn't be happier about this. 🙂

As some know, I've been in school for the last little while to get into concept artwork and storyboarding for the video game industry. As it happens, three of my professors are the heads of a video game company here in town. They loved my work output during this past term and were impressed with me after bringing me in for an interview this past week.

The bottom line is they've hired me on for an internship with their company. I'll be drawing, storyboarding and writing for them and getting paid with a game credit. Essentially, I'll have my name in the end credits of a game, which is a HUGE deal when finding paid work in the industry. I start Monday.

What this means is I'll now have a job, full time school and an internship which will ideally have my creative juices focussed, so I really don't know how much time I'll have for tk artwork for the forseeable future. I know this isn't the best news for everyone who likes my artwork, but this is a huge step towards drawing for a living for this kid, which kicks ass. 🙂

I'll contribute what I've got time for in the months upcoming. Thanks everyone! Wish me luck!

Dude, Look back a couple months when you weren't even sure if you would get into that art school, and now you're working for a video game company. You've come really far in such a short amount of time, but then again we all knew you could do it. You're an excellent artist and we've all benefited from enjoying your work for so long. It's a loss if you can't make TK pictures anymore, but at least we got them for as long as we did. Good luck with your new career 😀

Concept artists are hard to find bcuz vid game companies are looking to one-up each other all the time so they take the best talent available. Snailio you've got a real good thing going and I wish ya the best of luck.
