for my brother-in-law

Some of you may recall that my brother-in-law is in the Army, out in Texas. He is due to be deployed sometime soon. He will either be sent to his original location of Germany or deployed to Iraq.

Now, I am not suggesting that he should be absolved of fighting should we go to war, but I am praying that if he is sent to Iraq, instead of Germany, that he returns home safely at the end of his deployment. Of course, I will also pray he gets to go to Germany instead, but perhaps that is asking too much.

For those who don't know... this is my older sister's husband, They have 2 yr old triplets... 2 girls and a boy - Lauri, Lauren, and Christopher. My sister and the kids will be moving back home 5 weeks from now and my brother-in-law will stay in an apartment until he is deployed.

This will be really hard on the kids because they know who their daddy is now and won't undertand why he has to go away. I feel so sad for them, esp my neice, Lauren, who is a real "daddy's girl"... so I'd like you to also pray for God to help my sister and the kids with the understanding and the ability to carry on the best they can.

The only good thing is that since they will be moving home, my nephew, who is autistic, will be able to get into a special preschool program nearby... I guess these things happen for a reason, but it's still hard to understand.

Primetime needs wisdom, guidance and a calm heart in trying to support his friend who is undergoing a bad divorce and sees no future for herself. Please pray for him, and for her to see that suicide is a permanent solution to her temporary problems.

I'm back

Ahh...where to start.lol. I remember the last time I requested prayer and I never got the chance to thank all who have prayed for the situations in my life and family. Thank you. Now, I need this more than anything and I hope you understand that. Time for me to pour my heart out to you. The last prayer I requested was for my oldest son. He just turned 13yrs and it was to find himself and give him strength in his studies. Well, things have gotten worse. Since the beginning of the school year, he hasn't been himself. His grades have fallen from A/B(6th grade) to D/F(7th grade) for no reason at all. I thought it was because he had just turned 13 and he was hitting puberty. Then I thought that it was because we (my husband and I) were going to go through the "Step-parent Adoption" process last year and have it all done and celebrate for christmas that they (I have two boys with separate fathers- but that is another story) would be "ours" and we would be a "whole" family. I thought that he lied to me and didn't want this to happen or that he was having trouble understanding how his biological father could give up on him like that. I questioned him as easy as possible to ask him how he felt about the adoption and he told me that he was excited. Well, because of his grades falling like they did, we had to cancel the adoption (because that is one of the major things that the social workers and Judge look at). Anyways, to make this extremely long story short, I think our son has Oppositional Defiant Disorder(ODD). Infact, I don't think, I know in my heart of hearts that he does have it. Why? Because ALL of the symptoms meet his criteria of having this disorder. "Argue with adults, Lose their tempers, refuse to follow adult's requests or rules, deliberately annoy others and are annoyed by others, are angry and resentful, are spiteful or vindictive, blame others for their mistakes, have low self-esteem". I don't know how serious this is or if he will be on medication - becuase they have to look to see if there are any other disorders he might have. Which I found out last night that bi-polar and depression run in the family (on my side). To me, this makes me feel like I failed as a parent. I know, I know...but right now I really need alot of prayers as I hear that this requires alot of counseling and I am scared to death of something bad happening (too many true stories on TV) or of losing my son. Just please pray for us that we have the strength to help him get through this. Thanks everyone...🙂

thanks for the prayers for myself and my friend. she is doing as well as expected. this is going to be a long process, but as long as she gets better, then it doesnt matter how long it takes. thanks for the thoughts.

To all who are in need of prayer

With so much going on with so many of our TMF members and their families, I would like to keep this towards the front, it would nice if we could have updates on the prayer requests that have already been posted.

For those of you who remember Lori and her little girl Mandy, they are doing better. Mandy doesn't have to have anymore Chemo for another week. They both came this weekend to see Katherine (slave4tickles) for those of you who don't Katherine. Mandy did get a bit upset seeing Katherine hurt so badly, but Lori felt it would help Katherine and Mandy. Because Mandy, thought that Katherine didn't love her anymore🙁 And she now understands why Aunt Kat hasn't been calling her everyday and coming to see her.

Katherine had a fairly good day, her MRI that was done today showed that the swelling of her brain had gone down!🙂 YES!YES!YES!😀 The comdey movies I think have helped, because her blood pressure has also come down🙂 Who said laughter wasn't good medicine!!!!🙂

Jeffy, I am sorry that I haven't been able to get a message to you. I was able to download the wavs that you made for Kat, and I made a quick reply to that. Just hard getting online here. I know that you understand.🙂
