Breezy,

You are really caring a load with three kids and truly desiring to help them through their struggles. I also pray that God is with you to raise them in his will.

FT, what a blessing that the Lord has put on your heart concern for others and motivation to do something about it! I will include in my prayers every need expressed here, and check on this thread whenever I visit TMF. My prayer request is for my friend Lori, who was just diagnosed with MS.

Thanks TickleCrazy,

I just feel like my time on earth is too short to worry about what I want to do with it. Nothing will really get done, and I won't really be happy doing it!

And I will keep Lori in my prayers. I know what a difficulty MS can be to bear!!!

I will pray for all of those mentioned here on this thread. I hope I can remember everyone. Anyway for those like Lori, Mandy and Dan that are having a hard time right now I remember a message I saw written on a restroom wall once when I was younger and it has stuck with me all these many years. "Where there is love there is always hope. Where there is hope there are always possibilities.". Sometimes if you keep your eyes open you can find wisdom in the strangest places. From the response here I can feel there is much love and therefore much hope which will hopefully lead to some joyous possibilities. God bless all of you for caring so much.

For those of you who are making requests, I hope that you would follow up here too. Let us know the updates with their cases. And remember to believe. If you don't have faith that your prayers will be answered... they won't be!!!

Jesus said "Truly truly I say to you, he who believes in me shall also do the works that I do, and even greater works than these shall he do, because I go to the Father."

So we can heal others. I can, in the name of Jesus, heal all these people on this thread. If your faith is strong, it will come true. Just believe, and be healed!

I feel this is about the best thread yet. Thank you for starting it FT. And to let everyone know, my friend Dan is doing much better. Thank you all for the prayers. I printed some of these posts and read them to him. He asked me to thank each of you! Thank you from Dan! Destiny

Prayer reguest for Slave4tickles aka Katherine

I would like to request prayers for Katherine. She has been sick with the flu, she thought that she was over it, but it hit her again. She had to leave work today early to go to the doctor, Katherine has pneumonia. So if those of you who believe in prayer please remember her in yours. Thank you! KandyKisses

Dan is feeling better? Wait, did I ask? No, I know. No I am not some religious wacko who sees these things. I just know God is good for his word. I want to thank everyone for their participation and nice comments about this thread. God Bless

In Christ

I praise God for His healing work in Dan. His kindness endures forever!

I lift Katherine up to the Lord for healing. In doing so, I recall Jesus' command in healing the ears of the deaf man. "Ephratha...Be thou open." That is my prayer for Katherine's bronchi and lungs. May the breath of the spirit flow through her.

I just found an e-mail from Chrissy (AKA - Josie the Ticklish Pussycat). Here's part of what she had to say...

I will be out of commission for a bit... spent the day in the emergency room with a suspected case of appendicitis. Good news is that my appendix is fine...bad news is that I have a massive urinary tract infection which has spread, so that it causes pain on my left side (spleen),. from my abdomen to my sternum, and my kidneys. What this means is that I can't spend much time sitting up, so I won't be online as much for a bit. Got forced bed rest for a week... catching up on my recreational reading, at least.

So, let's add her to our prayers. May the Lord grant her a quick and complete healing. May this time of illness be fruitful in allowing other healing whereever it may be needed.

Ann

God will take charge of the situation if we let him.

"All things work out for good for those who love God."

Slave4Tickles

I just wanted to put a prayer request in for Slave4tickles aka Katherine. She is down with pnuemonia. Most of you know how much she enjoys coming in here and seeing everyone. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Great idea for an excellent thread. I have several prayer requests that need to go out and believe me when I say that really I have many. LOL! The main ones are for my 13yro son who is struggling with school and finding his own identity, for my 11 yro son is struggling with his weight and of the stress of teasings and beatings from his brother. For my 4 1/2yro who is majorly allergic to peanuts and to alot of medicines. A request for my husband back to get better. Thanks everyone, I already prayed for all of those who are members of the TMF and for those who are not. For those that are healthy and those that are sick. For Mandy and her mom, I know how hard it is just to be a single mom. For Dan, may God heal you fast. For our leaders and our enemies. :grouphug:
Breezy, Sweetie I don't know how I missed this post earlier. I came back to see how the ones that have asked for prayer were doing and ran up on it. I assure you your prayer request will be carried out. I will add these requests to our prayer list. I agree with you, we not only should pray for the sick. We pray for our country, for our friends and family. I noticed that you add the memebers of TMF, thank you! I pray that you husband will be well soon! And your children, it has to been hard on you, keep your faith! You are not alone Sweetie! I am so glad that this thread was started! A great idea FT, thank you again!

Alright guys,

It's thanksgiving almost.

Let's not forget that while it is really important to pray for our needs and the needs of others, it is also important to thank God for the wonderful things that we have. Not just the food we eat, but the fact that we always eat. We have roofs over our heads, clothes, etc. The world is gorgeous. Trees, sky, lakes, everything beautiful comes from God. And more precious than any other gift, that of his son Jesus Christ!

Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

I am really glad to get the warm and heartfelt appreciation for this thread. I really expected the exact opposite. I know a lot of people feel that a site like this (one of sexual nature) and God do not mix. But the truth is, he is everywhere. So he knows we are here and what we are doing. While we can't live perfect, we can live for Him the best we can. As we grow in Him, our desires will mold to His. So don't feel like holding Him away actually does any good. He's here!

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving... and remember why it is a holiday!!!

In Christ,

Not to be an old fuddy-duddy,

I would like to add a cautionary note to AsuTickler and ForgottenTcklr regarding the excitement over the statistical validity of prayer and physical healing mentioned in a couple of "scientific" studies.

I too became keenly interested when I read about those studies. Then...

Matthew 4:7
Deuteronomy 6:16

...Among other references, reminded me to just let such man-crafted studies keep their place.

Let's start a different thread on this; I feel like I'm going far enough tangent to be nearing a hijack.

First P50,

There is a big difference between doing the Lord's work and testing Him. I am not crying out for healing to test Him, rather to heal the sick! You must recognize the difference!

So that responds to both of the verses that you posted!

If you don't choose to believe it, it doesn't take away from the fact that God works... through us!!!

Jesus said... We will do the very things He did... AND MORE!!!

That's big. Jesus cast out demons and healed lepers. He even raised the dead!!! He was calling upon the powers of God. He said that we could too. Why doubt? We cannot fathom the works and abilities of God, but He's there. He loves us so much and does not want to see us in pain. Have faith, it can truly move mountains!!!

Fantastic idea, FT! I pray for all my family and friends on a daily basis, and will be all too happy to add all the above to my list! Having gone through a difficult time recently, I am totally convinced about the power of prayer, the intervention of the Holy Spirit, and that God doesn't give us any situation we can't handle. Be assured, I shall pray for you all!

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference. Amen.
