Prayer support request.... something came up over the July 4th holiday

Firstly, to recap, my mom got remarried about a year ago or so. Most of my now extended family is ok, except for my stepdads kids ( well some of them ) who tend to be vindictive in nature and will verbally attack ( lies to others, rumers, etc ) anyone they deem fit at will. No pattern to it, just whomever they feel like targeting.

Enter July 4 of this year. We find out that my step dad's sister's husband ( whew , thats long ), is having severe kidney problems. About 20 percent of his kidney is functioning. They can't find a donor for a transplant...... family members are out due to various reasons..... so what will happen in the near future is not only uncertain but scary to even think about.

Let me say my stepdad's sister, her husband, and their daughter are wonderful people. They should not be going through this. ADD to that, that my stepdads kids are now targeting them at the moment. Its bad enought to bully anyone, but to set sights on someone who is going through something like this?!?? That is just.... ugh, no words can describe it.

Please, I ask for prayer for my whole family at this point. What affects one of us, affects us all. Hopefully a donor can be found. Also, hopefully the vindictiveness can be stopped. They have too much going on now to deal with that as well. = (

kidney failure is a serious thing, but think of it this way damn near everyone in the world has an extra one to give. It shouldnt be a problem to find a donor here is to hoping that you do

You have my prayers, Erik. I know the issue of kidney failure well as my grandfather experienced the same thing. Unfortunately, he did pass away as a result. I am praying for a far different result in your case.

just for future reference and less chance of your fingers hurting.. step-dad's sister's husband = step-days brother-in-law.. oh, i guess technically that's not shorter, but a less confusing thing to say i guess lol

I'm sorry about your step-dad's family problems.. I just recently lost my step-mom.. it kinda sucked.. she was on a ventalator for a week even though she really died before they put her ont he machine.. but they pulled the plug on her the friday before father's day.. and her birthday was yesterday.. so it sucks.. but this isn't about me

I'm sorry about your step-dad's family problem. Kidney problems suck, especially when it's less than 50 percent funcationing.. I wish there was some way I could help. I'm sorry the family can't donate their kidney.. And i won't ask what the reasons are.. But I'll hope for a miracle, or atleast strength for them to be able to get through all the pain they must be in, because sometimes nothing can be done and what the family really needs is strength to get through this tough time, but never give up hope. I do believe in miracles until the last second.
