Preventing Pirating

Hi folks,

I am recruiting models for tickling and foot fetish work, and plan on opening up a tickling video store, and an image store that has very high quality foot fetish image packages of every model. I have REALLY hit the jackpot with models that are interested as of late, due to a sudden flood of interested models, making the base material needed to open a store ever closer to being met. I have met with many of them, they are definitely genuinely ticklish, and each one has something special to them personality wise as well as physically.

They are all new and none of them have been seen before in these two fetish realms, and every one of them has a tremendous amount of potential. I really wish to do what I can to introduce them to the scene professionally, and help them make a name for themselves as models in general... each of them really are special and I took a long time selecting them along with any other model in the future.

I have had plenty of tickling experience in my life as a tickler in relationships, and am recently single with a good paycheck, as well as an experienced photographer. Needless to say, I am very, very excited, to work with these girls to produce very high quality work.

This being said, I really want to protect my material from pirating.

Does anybody, producers in particular, know of any reliable means of anti-piracy?

I'm not a producer right now, but no, barring adding some kind of tell into every individual video and selling each one directly to someone so if you see it somewhere you could tell you posted it (which was something I seriously saw someone consider, I think it was Yaqi), no, I don't know of any good prevention methods.

There is no such thing. And anyway, unless you become a big name, there isn't going to be enough of a demand for your stuff that anyone is going to bother to pirate it in the first place. And if you do become a big name, you'll probably be making enough that it won't matter.

That said, I guarantee you that no matter how great you think your models react, someone is gonna tell you she's a faker who isn't the least bit ticklish. Be ready for it when it comes.

On the lighter side, maybe try releasing some samples 1st.
See what kind of interest is generated before you worry about protecting the interest.

Well, in that regard, you can do what a lot of other folks do; scan the more popular sites for your material and issue takedown notices when you find it. Even so, you'll be fighting an uphill battle; just make sure your stuff is properly watermarked so that anyone who watches it knows where it came from.

I've bought many, many vids .....and have also downloaded some pirated material. Sometimes I have been inspired to make purchases from producers after watching a clip someone put up on whatever place like Dailymotion, etc because I wanted a better quality version of the clip, found a new producer who's work was good and I wanted to purchase more material from them, or simply really liked the model and wanted to purchase other videos featuring that specific model.

I dont think theres any sure fire way to prevent it... those who are willing to steal clips, are willing to go to any lengths to get it....

New anti-piracy stuff comes out, and they find a new way of getting it.... but best of luck with the new business! Hope it works out for you! 🙂 Keep us updated!

OscarTheMonkey said something that is usually overlooked when this topic is discussed. The upside of pirating is that it can be good advertising for the public for your product. I also buy a lot of clips and I have also downloaded from DailyMotion. With regard to me, the freebies have stimulated my interest in the given producers product and redounds to his profit in that I may become a regular customer. I have also seen free clips that don't have good resolution and have then bought the clip to get better resolution. You have to keep those things in mind, because not everyone is a parasite. Many download the freebies and then become customers. Since it can't be stopped, the producers should concentrate on what might be positive in this regard.

Good points here. Personally I buy 95% of the material I own. The only stuff I really pirate are the old gems I cant get anymore, such as old Realtickling clips.

It's overlooked because I really, really doubt that any producer sees a significant amount of extra sales coming from people who "just happened" to stumble across their material on DailyMotion. You guys are the exception to the rule.

One of my recent previews has seen over two thousand views on YouTube. I've sold two copies of the actual clip. You vastly overestimate how much advertisement brings in extra revenue for producers who aren't Tickle Abuse.

Side question. Why does tommy let all those TA videos stay up on DM? There's five pages of his vids, more being added almost daily, on dailymotion. To the point that when I type in Tickle Abuse the playlist on DM comes before the actual site!

And look, OP. Piracy really comes down to the integrity of your consumer base. Since you're using a medium that doesn't really support software trapping, you can't do much. I'd say put up a bounty when you have a steady inflow coming in. For every ten videos that someone helps you hunt down to get removed, you give them a free copy of one of your vids. Something along those lines, you know?

I can't speak for Tommy, but you answered your own question by saying that there's "more being added almost daily". Tommy is only one man, and he has a business to run. He could easily spend every waking hour of the day trolling DailyMotion looking for his videos, sending takedown notices, and offering proof of ownership... only to have them re-uploaded by someone else the moment they were pulled.

That's why I said you can't prevent piracy. The Internet is bigger than you and has a lot more free time.

The only to avoid piracy is to sell nothing at all. Seriously though. Maybe you make clips stream only. But they would just find a way to download them.
