Problems with Chat?

Is anyone else having problems with the chat room?
I cant get in!

Chat is currently working. Over 40 people are in it as I write this.

9 times out of 10 its your Java thats messed up. I could not get into the room when I was using Jave 5 update 12. Now I am using Java 6 update 27 and get in fine. If you have a more recent version of Java it could be its gotten corrupted. I think you can verify your installation of Java at the Sun Microsystems website. If all this checks out. Make sure your firewall is allowing Java to do its thing. Java needs to be able to communicate and not be blocked.

Can't there be an easier way to do this? Back in the day, I could get into the chatroom with no problem. Why does it have to be so complicated now?
