Ran across this in a web search today. I don't have the book.
A review?

Review from Boston Sunday Globe:
"Phillips...writes about magnificently light subjects (kissing, tickling and, best of all, worrying) with a great deal of insight...He's a bit like an Oliver Sacks of psychoanalysis."
-- Gail Caldwell

LIGHT SUBJECTS?? He must never have visited here....giggle!

I saw this book in the Psychology section of a bookstore once and immediately picked it up to look through it and see what the author wrote about tickling. I don't remember the details, but it wasn't worth getting...just pyschobabble, nothing that even remotely seemed worth reading. Don't bother getting it, you will be VERY disappointed! 😎

Thanks Super Tickler!

You probably just saved a bunch of us about 20 bucks at Barnes and Noble!! LOL

Just curious, have you ever read ...

The Joy of Touch by Ruger? There is a chapter on erotic tickling. It wasn't great. But, not that bad.

Rook

Thanks for the suggestion Rook. I'll check that one out!

better book

Here is another psychology book defininely worth looking for in your local library, possibly worth its retail price ($24.95).

"Laughter: A Scientific Investigation" by Robert R. Provine

Published in 2001. 215 pages total. 29 pages in Chapter 6, entitled "Ticklish Relationships." This chapter has quite a bit about the physiology and psychology of tickling. His speculation on whether anybody pays to be tickled is a bit naive; he should visit some dungeons here in NYC.

I have that book

Milagros. I have that book. It is rather informative. try to find it at a half price book store. Alot cheaper. I got mine for under 10.00.
