Question about tickling reactions.

Ok, I was thinking (I know, be careful, I might throw out my back or something) about some of the discussions in the "early tickling memories" thread, and I started to examine my own background with tickling a little more. As I briefly noted, my early experiences with tickling were primarily with a girl who loved to be tickled, as in the act of what we consider "tickling" on her feet, but to her it didn't really tickle, it just felt really really nice. Because of this, I guess, most of my experiences with tickling have fit the same scenario......basically me gently running my fingers over the soles, stomach, back, legs, etc., of someone who may not react very much in a ticklish way, but is utterly delighted with what I am doing....kind of like giving a massage.

On to the question part of my question...

for both 'lers and 'lees... do you enjoy this kind of "tickling"? or is the ticklish reaction the most important part of the act for you??

I personally enjoy both greatly (the more tormenting side of tickling as much as the enjoyable side I just described). I think that because I enjoy tickling like I do, I have no shortage of female friends who are willing to let me "tickle" them, and haven't for many years (but I still want more more more 🙂 )

Thank you for this point of view, Slappy. Whenever I get the opportunity to tickle a woman for the first time, soft and gentle strokes are my first step. Half-tickling and half-caressing. If the woman doesn't enjoy heavier tickling (which I'm sure to try), I'm perfectly happy to continue the light stroking.

Have you ever read the Kamasutra? This old love art from India strongly recommends soft tickling with fingers and peacock feathers all over the body.

I'm more of a lee, but enjoy both sides of the game. I think which form of tickling I enjoy depends on my mood at the time. If I'm in more of a quiet and cuddly mood, I tend to go for the lighter tickles...which drive me crazy, BTW. But, if I'm in a more energetic or rowdy mood, I tend to lean towards the rougher tickling. The same goes when I'm ticking someone else.

Light tickling....

As a 'Lee, I greatly prefer to be tickled lightly and gently. It always tickles, even if only a little, and feels absolutly heavenly. The heavier tickling is still a bit intimidating for me, though it's not something I'm all that experienced with. As for when I'm doing the tickling, I almost always stick to the lighter stuff - I love the feel of her skin beneath my fingertips. Sometimes, though, you just gotta dig in. 🙂

I like using a light touch, and mixing that with more vigorous pressures. Depends on the 'lee, though. Some women don't find that ticklish, though all seem to enjoy such, that I've found. I'm guessin' some don't, but I've been fortunate, thus far.

Light, caressing tickles seem to bring out the reaction, "Are you trying to START something?" That's fine in high school or college - it's a way of flirting, and the answer is usually YES - but once you graduate into the real world, best reserve it for people you are intimate with, or at least know well.

I guess I'm a sadistic tickler - I much prefer heavy tickling. I enjoy the giggling, thrashing around, wild laughing, begging, etc. I like tickle fights and tickle ambushes best.

I'm no fan of screamers. Screaming you can get with a lit cigarette, and I'm not at all interested in doing that.

I think the key term is someone you "know well"... I have found when tickling friends that you had better know the person well enough to know if they like being touched by friends, and more importantly how they will see it (as an advance maybe). I am not the type of person who would ever feel comfortable tickling a stranger... to me it would feel like an invasion of some kind.... just my opinion. and it is true that as I get older it seems not only do I have less friends to tickle, but I have less true friends in general. I'm still not sure what I think of that. Guess we just don't have the time for such maintenance any more.
