a couple of weeks ago I went to an outdoor party/bbq type thing being thrown by some of my husband's friends and family. there were horse shoes, volley ball and a lot of drinks to be had. well, after a great many jack and lemonades (a new drink for me) it got dark and I went to sit by the fire pit. this guy, who had been paying an awful lot of attention to me all day, came to sit by me. I was in one of those new folding chairs (you know, the ones that fold up like an accordion) and there weren't any more empty chairs so he sat on the ground.
the reason for my post is this... he kept tickling my foot and nibbling on my leg! I don't know what I did to bring this on (if anything) because I am fairly shy in these kinds of situations and a lot of the time it is taken as conceit or snobbery or whatever. point is... I am not the kind of person people do this to! it was so strange. I got really flustered trying to react 'normally' to a very abnormal situation. I am really ticklish and was caught completely by surprise by these 'attacks'. I screamed, pulled my foot (or leg, depending on the attack) back, blushed like a lunatic and stammered something like "hey! cut that out!". he would just growl and nibble or tickle and then talk to me as if nothing had happened. he eventually ended up being dragged home by his wife (yes, his wife was there!) but not before they came right out and asked me if I would be interested in coming home with them! I politely declined and they both gave me hugs and kisses before they left. very strange... I will be going to another party in 3 weeks and I know that they will be there.
ok, after this long winded explanation... I'll get to the point. I have read a number of posts from people saying they can tell when someone is into tickling. is this true? if so, how? the situation described above was just a little too bizarre (ok, WAY too bizare) for my tastes but it did make me wonder if and how he could tell.
