Today I randomly bought a pack of those things that you throw on the ground and they make a popping noise...I think the pack says "TNT poppits" on it...

Anyways they were in the Dollar Bin at Target so I grabbed a box cuz I remembered thinking they were really cool and exciting when I was a kid.

Well, i must have had a lame definition of fun b/c it was really stupid...what's the big deal about throwing something on the ground and listening to it pop.

Anyways...that's all...i guess i just wanted to share my disappointment with someone...

Its funny to think of all the things you did when you were younger, and how much fun they seemed, even though they're totally lame now. I used to have a clubhouse that I thought was the greatest thing in the world in my backyard. I could play in it for hours and never be bored. I was home a few weeks ago, went out to look at it, and it's a small little chicken coop with a cruddily made wooden fence. How did I ever spend time there?

Bubbles. I fucking loved bubbles as a kid.

Now they're just not as great.

My kid sure loves them though.

This happened to us last summer, when we thought it would be fun to go ride go-karts. We found it to be a complete waste of money.

I'm also not a big fan of buying fireworks. I just can't see the appeal behind money literally going up in smoke, just for a quick visual flash.

We called those poppit things "snaps" here. And they can still be fun.........of course, we throw them at one another after consuming alcohol but a lot of things are funny in that state of mind.

My kid sure loves them though.

But they are really cool if you blow smoke in them....
