I don't know how many of you have seen Napoleon Dynamite, but this is an actual liger, the child of a male lion and a female tiger. There are also tigons, which are similarly ginormous.
Wow, that pussycat is something else! It could even compete with the primeval sabretooth-tiger in size.

Actually most Tigon's are prone to dwarfism as Ligers are prone to giantism. The only people who breed them are private collectors as most Zoo's outlaw it. And they're all born infertile.
A few years ago my mom and I saw a liger in our backyard. Animal control thinks that someone had it as a pet and let it go in the woods near by when it got too big to handle. To this day everyone's looking for that missing liger!
