Today I saw the movie "Envy", and although it had a great cast, including Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Chris Walken, and some pretty girls, I would advise TMF'ers to avoid this movie if at all possible. The plot seemed senseless, and the movie highly disjointed to me. It was a clear case of a wonderful cast that was wasted. I see movies often, and I would rate "Envy" as one of my all time least favorite movies. I know the people who work at the theater quite well, since I go there every week and sometimes more than once a week, and they told me that "Envy" is being pulled tomorrow after only a week, and has failed to generate any business at all. I dont know if it's being pulled all over, but my advice is to save your 6, 8 or 10 bucks and pass on it! It was truly one of the worst movies I've ever seen, which is regrettable considering the good cast that is in it.

It's not a good sign when the preview for your movie is barely thirty seconds long, and tells you NOTHING about what the movie is about. What a waste of talent.

Yeah, I barely knew it was out and I FREQUENT movie review sites!!!
It really is a shame because these two really could have done a good movie together...
Did you know that Ben Stiller has 6 movies coming out this year!?!
And so far they have either sucked or came pretty darned close...

I think it's kind of a mixed bag for Stiller....he does do a lot of movies, but I think he could use a little help in picking good ones. I remember all the hype for Zoolander, which I thought looked really funny....and it sucked. I am so geeked for "Dodgeball", but i'm holding my breath......

i have never even heard of that movie but i think i will stay away from it. the movie i want to see is Van Helsing!!!!

Zoolander was about a world famous fashion model (Stiller), who's career was threatened by an up and comer (Owen Wilson). It featured the song "Start the Commotion" by the Wiseguys which was played endlessly on radio and tv. And there were loads of commercials ads featuring his character, most notably Absolut.

I havent heard of it either, so i guess im not missing out..lol...Zoolander was terrible a few funny parts but all in all was a terrible movie!

Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is about a small gym owner (Vince Vaughan) who finds his livelihood threatened by a big workout chain franchise led by Stiller. Vaughan puts together a dodgeball team for the dodgeball championships in Vegas, I believe. The two teams eventually battle against each other. I've only seen a clip of it so far, but being a complete geek for dodegball (one of the best games to play as a kid), I'm going to see it June 18th.

I'm w/Knox here--but I did laugh my head off at "Something About Mary" and "Meet the Parents"...
